problems to remove virtual drives

i got some problems with further used virtual devices (cdroms). i`ve been using deamon tools and after the deinstallation of the prog the virtual drives won`t dissapear. now i can`t get rid of them and they`re blocking my driveletters.

WIN NT message after booting up OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND

Format doesn't kill a partition?

My previous setup was Ubuntu Linux and Windows 2k. . yestarday I made a new install of win xp because I got sick of the plain 2k look. But it didn't erase the partition? I tried installing again, same thing, win2k is still there (with windows xp on another partition of course).

Hi Well, to tell my story short, i bought windows xp pro for some years ago, but i still had problems with all the ++++ stuff coming with my install. I just found out that i could download a stripped version and use my cd key on that one, which basically makes it my license.

Hey. I am having a problem with this error and I have read many posts about it but my problem is different than most. I was just on my computer and it froze so I had to shut it down the wrong way. On the reboot I get to the screen where you choose if you want to start up in safe mode or normally.

pc keeps giving blue screen of death and restarting...

my pc froze up on me over night, when i went to restart it now gives me the blue screen of death and then restarts. i tried starting it up in safe mode, last know good config, and normal and it does the same thing.

I'm running Windows XP Home on a custom machine. I've noticed it's been slowing down on startup and shutdown lately, so i did a virus scan, disk cleanup, defrag, regestry clean up and i've manually uninstalled several things I don't use anymore.

computer slowing down

things have seemed to be going downhill with my computer lately. it takes forever for my computer to load after logging into windows. i have done spyware scans with 5 different programs, 2 virus scans, and nothing turned up.

Help - Attention W2KS Gurus!

Hi: I had to reinstall W2KS OS due to some problems of booting and it overwrote the regisry obviously. One particular program that has extensive customization does not run because the registry settings are missing.

Norton Security: My son knows how to turn it off, how can I prevent this?

My user account has a password, but somehow even when I log it off, he is able to log back on and change things. Norton AntiSpam even allows him to turn things off without being logged in, and I don't know how to prevent this.

help with hidden or disappeared partition

Hi All, I got this barebones laptop, so I installed windows xp sp 1 by myself. I have a 60 gig HD, but made two partitions - each about 30 gigs. When windows xp cd started to setup the format, I only did the ntsf format on the C partition.
