I have Version 7 of windows Internet Explorer on my system. Windows XP service pack 3. When I click on it , all I get is another shortcut on the desktop. If I right click on the main icon,all that comes up is.

NEED HELP does anyone know about Ubuntu?!

Can someone tell me who Ubuntu is particularly appealing to? I mean, is it a system for gamers or maybe people who are more tech-based cause it's a linux OS? I'm trying to do research for a class and really don't know much about it.

My buddies Dad has a had a new labtop for about half a year now and hasn't had a girlfriend or wife for years. Needless to say he's been looking at unsafe webpages and his computer has been randomly shuting down and is running slow.

Final Fantasy VII Bugenhagen Observatory problem

I have installed all suggested patches including the patch for the Chocobo race. Everything has been running fine. I am in the Cosmo City and the party is with Bugenhagen in the observatory. He starts to show us his planet charts and we have the usual dialog, then he says to watch this.

I'm having a very annoying problem about this Sony HDR-SR12 camcorder and Maxtor external HDdrive USB not recognize problem when I connect it to any USB ports. Everything is OK in the Hardware Device Manager.

new hard drive on laptop..... no windows xp disc??

hi all, i have a toshiba laptop that has windows xp preinstalled on it when i bought it. no disc. . the hard drive died and i had to get it replaced but how can i now get the windows xp? is there a way to find it on my laptop without the disc? thankyou.

logging on a second user on xp

Whenever I try to log on another user in, the computer locks up and nothing works. Am running windows xp, service pack 2. If I restart computer, can log onto any user, but will lock up if going to another user.

Hi, When connecting a USB drive XP always scans the drive (which I cancel) and then asks me what I want to do, for example copy music/pictures etc. I don't want it to do anything. There is an option at the bottom that says Take No Action which is ALWAYS what I want it to do but there is no way of saying Always take ...

Anyone found a solution to the missing Search Companion issue (sp2)?

Greetings all! Here's my problem, and apparently alot of other people's as well judging by the massive forum entries worldwide. After installing service pack2 for Xp Home, the Search Companion no longer functions and causes the error Some files needed are missing, you may need to run setup.

Wireless Networking and load order in XP

Hi, I have XP Pro SP2. I use my laptop with wireless networking. One thing that really annoys me is that when the machine boots and I log into Windows is that wireless networking seems to be the last thing to load.

print queue is not clearing

hi guys i have installed two star 543 receipt printer with edimax print server to my win 2003 server. after printing the job remains in the queue showing the status as sent to printer. each time i have to manually clear the print queue.
