I recently put WINME on my computer. I have 3 hd's and 6 partitions. Last night I put Ghost 2001 on, and imaged it under high compression. I got an image file that was 1. 1gigs. Hello everyone, My antivirus software has a nice feature of scanning all e-mail accounts on my system. When I look at it however, it finds accounts I have not used in years. There is nothing listed in the control panel's mail section and outlook and even express do not mention these accounts.

Firewire HDD Removal Problem in WinME

Hot swap my *ss. Whenever I try to remove my Firewire HDD (Firewire HDD enclosure using Oxford 911 chipset with a Samsung UDMA66 HDD) using the Unplug or Eject Hardware in the WinME system tray I get an error message saying The device 'IEEE 1394 Disk' cannot be stopped right now.

Gigabyte ga 5aa m/b. . amd k6-2afx* 475mhz cpu. I installed win me and the cpu, it will not see the cpu unless i set the voltage to 3. 2 i will fry the cpu at that, i set it to 2. 2v and the mult to x5.

Can anyone recommend a good, solid card? I tried the Winfast 2000 XP model for a customer who insists on using win98. Doesn't bother me except that Leadtek's support for 9x is sad, or at least is with this card.

Hide/disable printer in 98SE

How can I hide or disable a printer so a child (11 year old, probably certitfied A+. . . . . . . . ) can't print to it other than removing the printer cable or disabling it in device manager (if you can)?.

importing mail to Outlook Express

In this case the question is on a win98 machine. The original drive has everything on it, and is cabled as the slave, and running D:\. I have a customer wanting to import the mail from the D:\ drive that he had to the C:\.

As the start of an attempt to get WinXP on my older system (currently Win95) I knew I'd have to lose the old Voodoo3 card. Mobo has no AGP port, so I got a VisionTek GeForce4 MX 420 PCI card and popped it in.

OK. . . I have Windows XP. . . . and I HATE IT. The incompatibility is just overwhelming. I need to get my new computer from XP to 98se. How do I go about doing that? I mean i can format it, but do i lose drivers for all of my crap? It didnt come with a CD.

Hi Hi trying to fix my father in laws pc. He some how managed to corupt the Master Boot Record of his Windows ME partition, which has a lot of work on which he doesn't want to loose. I have tried to replace the mbr with fdisk/mbr command to no avail.

Hello, I need some tech advice I just got a new MotherBoard and Processor (A7A266 and AMD XP 1700+ i am running Windows 98SE, 512 pc-133 ram) Im having some trouble with the USB, When i first tried to set it up there was a problem with the BIOS so i had to flash and re-program.

Installing Publisher 2002

I cant seem to get publisher to install. The setup runs through the system update, then installs and reboots the computer. Once the computer resumes from reboot, the publisher instalation begins. After a few seconds I get an error message saying that The file C:\WINDOWS\OBDC32.

Input method editor icon on taskbar.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the input methos icon on the taksbar? I opened it up and selected properties, however the show in taskbar is grayed out. The icon is just taking up space, and when I need the other settings, I can go into the control panel.

Does anyone know how to get the web integration (new folder view, quick launch, etc) on win95? It used to do it when you installed ie4. but I went from win95c with NO internet explorer (used something like win98 lite) and then installed ie5.
