Might and Magic 8 - CD problem

I have just installed MM8: day of destroyers, but I cannot play the game. Whenever I click on the game icon, it says please insert the MM8 CD. I'm running on Windows XP. Does anyone know what's the problem? Do I need some cracks or anything?.

I manually deleted the directx entry from regedit and now i have a similar problem as this: The problem is that the file (DX9C. reg) he was asked to import into his registry does'nt exist there anymore.

Shadow Watch on win XP?

(OOPS, posted this in the 2k folder 1st on accedent. . . my bad Just curious if anyone here knows if its possible to get Red Storm's Shadow Watch to run under Win XP. I have tried various compatibility modes but so far the screen just goes black for a second before returning to the desktop.

I'm having a problem with the game Sanitarium on my Dell inspiron 1520 laptop. I'm on Windows XP with NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS. I'm having a problem with the cinematics. They play through with sound, but the image is obscured by pixelation.

Martian Gothic: Unification Crashes on Startup

I was bored and decided to install this old game, Martian Gothic, which I had lying around. When I ran it, a black screen came up and then crashed with an error mesage after a few seconds. The only support I have found for this problem is.

HELPP MEE PLEASEE!! Ive got the sims 2 double delux and i cant play it cuz it wont let me download Directx 9!! Ergghh!!! Ive tried to download it from so many places and it just doesnt work!! Ive also tried to download Directx 10 and THAT dosnt work, so im quite bummed really.

hows it goin guys. I used to play this game (Tom Clancy's SSN) all the time on my old windows 95 machine, and that one no longer works. i love the game, and i really want to play it, but i cant get it to work on XP at all.

Red Alert 2 suddenly stopped working, no new software added, no XP updates, no hardware changes. When I start playing it, when the character talks the games freezes for about 5 seconds and then carries on.

I've read all the posts on this and i can't get it to run. I have windows xp sp3 I change to compatibility mode for windows 95 and when i left click the install icon it has the little hourglass come up and then nothing happens.

This is gross personalization of computers, but mine seems to be biased against, of all things, the long extict company 3DO. When I put the disc into the drive, my computer puts up the innocent, yet incredibly annoying, unknown publisher window.

Okay guys, I tried everything, I saw another post about this but none of its guides worked. so now i'll give u a precise action of what i did: 1. Inserted CD1 of Red alert into the DVD/CD drive. 2. Cancled the auto run and went into explore the disk.

Problem in Playing Red Alert 1

I have successfully installed the red alert 1 which i downloaded the disk files from internet (allied disk and soviet disk) when i run the RUNGAME. EXE, it says PLEASE INSERT A RED ALERT CD INTO THE CD ROM DRIVE FYI, i have burned a cd named CD1_ALLIED_DISC but still it require disk.
