XP with SP1 remove hardware icon

When I install service pack 1 for windows XP Pro the Safely remove hardware Icon appears in the tray telling me I can safely remove my USB Packard Bell Diamond 2450 scanner. Its always there, as soon as I boot my computer, when I use the scanner and even when the scanners asleep.

Well I have had this board for about 6 months now and I am finally encountering the infamous sound crackling problems? Has anyone found a solution to this? I am hoping not to have to deal with the insanity and morons at the nforcershq forum.

Our trusty HP6P was sent out for repair. While it was gone, we decided to buy a new HP2300. Installed the 2300's software using the supplied CD (v 1. 0), but had to order a second CD; the center-hole on the original CD was off-center.

I have a Hayes Accura ISDN Modem which I connect to my laptop (XP Pro (SP1)) via. a USB port. Everything works well until I use the on-board 56k modem. When I use the 56k modem (not at the same time as the ISDN modem) it behaves very erratically, often slowly and often disconnects within a couple of minutes of conn ...

I had this problem for a long time. An error occurred during the installation of the device Access is denied When installing my Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 XP deluxe. I had it installed before and had it working, one day I decided to upgrade the drivers, ever since then I get the same error even if I used the old drivers.

when I install the proper driver the PC autoshutdown and on restart it always crash. . . I notice the problem under Win2K and win XP, i think it's some sort of hardware incompatibility. . . some hints?.

Just for youre edification. This weekend I needed to repair wifes cpu. She was running intel pIII 600 on and abit bh6 board. I replaced it with my msi kt3v athlon board with xp2100 processor. I replaced my cpu with asus a7n8x deluxe with ahthlon xp2500 barton.

I just got a Labtec Webcam and it doesn't work. The instructions tell me to install the software first and during this process, the driver seems to install as well. It rebooted and told me to plug in the camera.

CPU Usage with Onboard Audio vs Audigy/Live

I did some tests with my onboard audio, a Realtek ALC650 and ran some Quake 3 benchies. I got 212 FPS with audio enabled and 244 FPS with audio disabled. I have an old SB Live hanging around, with Creative's drivers installed, I should probably get some of my FPS back right? I am assuming that upgrading to an Audig ...

my new comp more than rarely crashes with a BSOD (bad pool call, pfn page error etc). i have researched these errors and the common link is that it is falty memory or hardware- i think its my RAM. is there a program that can check if ur RAM is faulty?.

I got an old Asus P2B-DS dual p3 board that i just put in a new case with a bunch of old parts. The only problem is that when I installed win2k3 server it is not installed in acpi mode. I am reinstalling now with the pnp os setting set to no.

When I put a CD in the drive. . it reads it fine and everything. . . (this is happeing on both drives) now, I eject that CD, and put in another CD. . and the CD rom comes up with the contents of the CD that is on my desk.
