I am getting a DNS error when I try to go to a web site. ;( I can go to every other site out there. ( I like, I haven't really tried all of them ) The site I want to go to just updated or got a new site or something.

Help with PSC 604 Soundcard

I bought a psc 604, i put it in the slot connected it to my cdrom. I went into BIOS and disabled my onboard sound. When i try to install the driver it says that the soundcard hasnt been installed. Yet Windows had already recognised the new hardware.

What do I use to upgrade my BIOS?

I'm running Win NT on a Pentium II / 350 Mhz / ASUS motherboard. The BIOS reads ASUS P2B ACPI BIOS REVISION 1007 / Award Modular BIOS v4. 51PG. How can I upgrade this BIOS? Thanks for anybodies help.

I'm trying to install Windows 2000 on an Elitegtoup (ECS) P6STMT motherboard but I get a blue screen with 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE when it tries to boot into windows after installation. Are there any known problems with this board or its SiS 630ET chipset?.

Anybody here have the Aopen AX4SG-N? If you have it, is anybody running SilentTek? If so, does anybody hear beeping when SilentTek turns the CPU fan off? If so, does anybody know how to disable that beeping? If so, how? It's annoying, and basically defeats the purpose of SilentTek.

ES1869 Plug and Play AudioDrive

I am pretty sure this laptop I have has an ES1869 Plug and Play AudioDrive, however I have been unable to find a driver for it under NT 4. Its an old Compaq Presario 1621. It works perfectly on NT4 except for the sound problem.

Quietest 128MB AGP card?

Here is what I need - 1. 128MB (can't justify the 256MB cards right now). 2. AGP interface with DVI 3. QUIET. . . 4. <$125. 00 I've seen a few fanless cards with heatsinks, are they reasonably stable/cool running? I guess not having a fan would make them a lot quieter.

Pure3d on XP Driver HELP

I downloaded the drivers from the download page to use my Canopus Pure3d card on Windows XP. I unzipped it and installed the file. It then asks me to restart my computer but when I do I have no idea if the drivers where installed since it gives me no indication as to what directory it puts them in.

Ok, so about 2 days ago, when I got back from school a terrible thing happened to my computer. Now the monitor was in power save mode like it should be, but the tower only showed that the computer was running but theres no loading.

I have a Panasonic KX-P2135 printer but the drivers for it are Win98/Win3. 1 & they do not work in Win2k/WinXP. Now the server we have is Win2k (which is where all the shared resources, shared printers, etc; etc.

cd drive "not ready" + burner install question

Hi all, about 3-4days ago my cd drive started giving me a message that it's not ready with options to re try or cancle I've not changed anything on my comp lately that I can think of. I did get a cleaning cd (with the little fuzzy thing on it) and a can of air to blow it out.

Sound card is broken?

My speakers were plugged into the back of my computer where the sound card is. The sound card is integrated and I thnk it's somewhat busted. First, the sound only comes from one speaker while the other has sound but it's very quiet.

I have a friend whos powersupply went in her system. We found her a new case with a P4 powersupply, and made the transition. After getting everything in the new case, we tried it out. As soon as we plugged in the powercord, a buzzing started.
