Hi all, several months ago I was took out my WD 200G HD and put it on my server computer which already had 3 other HD (1 WD 200G, 1 160G WD and 1 80G Seagate). Plugged in the HD and boot up the computer and it does the Window CheckDisk for Consistancy stuff and the next thing I know is that some of the files aren't ...

My RAID controller is: HPT372 UDMA/ATA133 RAID (last software version) I have two HardDisk on RAID: the first is Maxtor 120gb 7200rpm ATA133 8mb of buffer (connected on IDE3). The second is 120gb Seagate 7200rpm ATA100 8mb of buffer (connected on IDE4).

huge hdd problem...

i have a seagate 40 gig hdd, it worked fine till one nice sunny day it just died for no apparent reason. i have a lot of stuff on it that i dont want to lose. i can detect it in bios, cant boot from it, cant see it in dos, winme, xp, or linux.

D-Link DWL-520+ Wireless Locks up W2K bootup

Procedures followed (software installed then hardware). W2K locks up on reboot. Removal of card restores boot sequence. On Safe mode boot up and w/ card installed the DWL-520+ resides in Device Manager and states card is working.

Printer upgrade question

I currently use (or was until today when it stopped working) a Canon S200SP printer and need to get a new printer. Am looking at getting a real nice multifunction one. There is a HP PSC2410 going on special locally with a digital camera bonus that has caught my eye.

my pc starts up and begins its POST. The mem check completes and then the machine hangs. . . what should i do to clear this prob? What is the most likely cause of this prob? i have jus installed and connected a new CRT monitor.

Question on a BIOS PCI timing setting (performance related)

I seem to recall some issues with VIA chipset boards more so then any others when you adjusted these settings from the default. My thinking is you should check out some of the Tweak guides out there for motherboard/OS combo's to see if there is any benefit from doing this You could end up with something really horr ...

Hi. Here's the story: I have a Samsung SP1604N 160 GB HD that doesn't seem healthy. In fact, it hangs my system from time to time. S. M. A. R. T. lets WinXP tell me this HD is at risk, when I go to the Computer Management window (Administrative Tools).

i was making a movie and connected my camcorder to pc. said that it wasnt compatible and it might damage my system and that stuff but i just clicked continue. while i was loading the stuff into the computers memory, it crashed a couple times.

In January I purchased a Systemax computer with an AMD Athalon processor, Windows XP Home, MS Office 2003 Professional. Since turning on the computer I have had constant problems with it freezing. Sometimes it evens reboots itself - the screen goes black and then it boots.
