Installing Server 2003 on PC instead of server

Want to Install Server 2003 on my PC instead of server. I'll be using the Server 2003 evaluation kit and want to get a feel for it before investing in a server for home. I have a vpr Matrix box with P4 2.

WinTV Problems

I'm having problems with my WinTV-GO PCI board (878-based). Well, I'll correct that, I can't get it to work at all. I installed the latest 878 WDM drivers and the latest WinTV application, but everytim I go to load the app the system freezes.

SONY VAIO LCD Screen....(40 Pin?)

Hey guys, I just aquired a Sony Vaio LCD screen, i was expecting the plug on the end of the screen to be DVI-I ETC, but more like a 40 pin. . . (to be exact its a PCVA 15XTAP) i tried doing a google search but all the pages are in Jap.

tried to update driver on radeon 9800 pro, now i get errors, won't install

at the login screen to city of heros, i got a message that said i need to update video driver. so i went to and went to download and install the new software for my radeon 9800 pro. when i installed, i got the error that it needed to be in standard vga mode.

Replacing RAM in a Dell

I have a Dell Dimension 4100 and I want to change the RAM. I am a bit worried because the website suggests 168 pin DIMM, and most of the RAM that I was looking at is 184 pin. Does this make a big difference? I am so new to all of this and I could really use some advice.

I have a ASUS geforce 5200 128 mb but somehow i cant get it to run at AGP 8X from the bios. i have the latest drivers for my mother. B. can anyone help me get it to AGP 8X??.

Extrernal HD problem.

I have WD 120GB external HD. It can work on USB 1 and 2, I'm running Win XP SP1 and I have USB 1. The HD worked fine (except for the slow transfer rate ) but lately I have a problem writing to the HD.

I finally found a driver for the Canoscan 620U!!! It is the Japanese version that I found on the real Japanese website. Instead of installing it exactly, I allowed the existing English files to not be overwritten.

EXTERNAL extension for AGP

I was just thinking of upgrading till i got an kick on my ass. would'nt it be great to have a external AGP extension? sort of like a power extension, a single AGP wire commin out through the case then to a zip drive thing which has a hole a the fans.

I just got a new computer, and of course the one thing in it not up to par is the graphics, which is on-board/shared memory. Luckily, I got a system with an AGP-8X slot, so I can get a good video card for the system.

Hi all, i've just changed my old desktop computer to an ultra laptop. Unfortunately, there is no paralel port on these new devices. So, i cannot use my Canon LBP660 printer any longer in its original Paralel configuration.

I have a dell demension 4400 the motherboard recently died. I've read the many problems encountered in trying to upgrade or replace with a non dell mo bo. If I wanted to build a new system (new case, power supply, mobo) can I easily use my dell drives etc.
