XP 64bit - can install on SATA yet?

I haven't tried the 64bit XP for some time now. I wonder, is there a way to install it on a SATA drive yet? Or is it still only IDE? And is there a newer version out? The last one I got had the basic NT/2000 style desktop.

I have just installed the following item. After installation I lost internet connection to my other computer. All I can see is an error IP address. I thought if I reinstalled the software for the broadband modem this might correct the problem.

Sound Crackle when BrowseGate active

Hi! Whenever I have my Internet Sharing Software BrowseGate ( ) turned on, my soundcard crackles as soon as my network interface card sends or receives data. (I know it sounds crazy) I already tried a different soundcard but that was even worse.

Hi, At boot, immediately after Intel Raid Bios message is displayed this shows up Error 9 ISM_Hardware_Unsupported. Boot process continues and the system works. What does that message mean? Thanks, System Config: ABIT IS7 P4 3 GHz 512 MB PC3200 Windows XP Pro SP1 ATI 7000 AGP Video.

RAM slowdown

my ram seems to be badly damaged. whenever i boot up my pc everything works fine for about 10 minutes, then it makes a spluttering coughing-type sound, and that's when it all kicks off. my curser stutters across the screen in a stop-start motion, then locks up and crashes.

Dual Head - 2 different formats

I trying to run a 17 4:3 LCD and a 30 16:9 LCD monitor. Problem is I have a Matrox 650. I can't set the extended desktop to get wide format. Are there any Graphics card that will run two different formats or am I missing something.

Sata boot drive, bombs when installing ide drive

I have just finished building a new system. Got a Sata drive and installed xp. Everything was running fine, except modem wont work. Added my old ide so that I could get the data, but it gets a stop error and says to remove the hard drive.

DVD writer does not read any CD's/DVD's

I have a HI-VAL (also called IO Magic) 4x Dual Format DVD +/- RW +/- R drive. It says MagicSpin on the actual drive and the model number is DVDRW 1004IM. The drive is detected in the BIOS and by Windows XP and is installed properly.
