Hi all - I'm really hoping one of you gurus have seen this before and it is some kind of Known Issue where there is a workaround. I have a XP Home v2002 SP1 2003 Sony Vaio 505 laptop with no added hardware and a few installed applications.

No new NVidia Drivers anymore?????

What is happening on this website these days? I never see anything about new video drivers anymore, or at least not for NVidia. This used to be my #1 resource for ALL sorts of news. Now it seems to only have articles about anti this and anti that programs.

Installing Windows XP to a large SATA Hard Drive

I am trying to install XP on a 300gig Maxtor. XP setup sees it as a 130gig drive. BIOS is current to January 05. Setup copys files but reports an error on starting XP. Any ideas?.

Hello i purchased a new motherboard and cpu well the motherboard supports the cpu but i purchased a 1. 8ghz processor and the motherboard only recognizes it as a 1. 35ghz but the motherboard supports the cpu and the computer is running great.

CPU constantly restarts, and abruptly becomes okay !

I have a Intel P4 2. 4 Ghz, Asus 533 motherboard with a GEForce 4 MMX Video Card. Although I dont think this problem is video card related, just an idea as to the system. The computer out of the blue just starts restarting on its own.

does any one know how i get my spdif(optical audio) to work, ive got a spdif port and ive plugged it into my minidisc walkman recorder but when i record the pc is putting out no sound through the spdif.

My Cpu says CPU system failed due to overclocking

When I open windows xp,Its says Cpu system failed due to overclocking, 1st of all my system isn't overclocked ( i think) I have a intel p4 3. 4ghz LGA775, memory - 1gb-2x512mb-200gb HD,the only thing that overclocked is my video card it has cooler on it.

forgive me if this has already been covered on the forum but i didnt see it. this problem started a few days ago, and i CAN NOT get it to go away. i get static and weird popping type sounds whenever i have winamp running in windows and all the time in games.

pioneer slot-loading DVD won't play DVDs (will play CDs). Thoughts?

I recently purchased a (used) Pioneer DVD-104 slot-loading DVD player. I hooked it up and tried playing a CD (music). This worked just fine. However, when I go to play a DVD I'll insert the disc, it'll act like it's reading for about 5-10 seconds, then spit the disk back out.

Just got the 2840 and was able to transfer a few files onto the device. Shortly there after everything locked up, computer and all. Now when the device is turned on without being hooked to the PC, it pauses at the RCA boot up screen for about five minutes and then flashes a warning about missing sys files.
