After someone hinted to me that my GeForce FX5600 VIVO card w/ 256MB of Video RAM can be a source of trouble, I began observing its temperature using a nifty monitoring package which uses probes that you stick on to whatever you want to monitor its temp.

I have an HP CD Writer Plus 7500 Series it connects to the pc via Parallel Im running Windows 2000 SP3 Every time i install the drivers and reboot the computer it gets to the log on screen the automatically reboots itself and this keeps going on until i unplug the cd writer then it allows me to log on to the system.

Anybody else experience this? I have a Seagate Barracuda 120GB SATA Hard Disk where I put all my games in for high performance (since SATA technology promises better performance than ULTRA ATA). Netmeeting problems

Hi. I have a laptop (IBM T42) with RADEON 7500 and a Logitech webcam. When I use netmeeting, I can send my webcam video but I cannot receive anything. Thanks for your help PS: I'm using Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 installed.

Overclocking question (RAM related)

Shed some light here people. . . I've got two sticks of PC3200 512MB RAM. My cpu is a P4 2. 8 Northwood and runs stable at 245FSB (on a Gigabyte 8IK1100 rev2). The RAM works with a multiplier of 1. 66.

Hardware People - Upgrade CPU suggestions & Video card too

Ah, APK, according to Abit's site they do support Prescott core CPU's up to 3. 8, hmm, those will only be engineering samples I gather but who knows for sure However I don't see mention of the Extreme Edition, just the standard Northwood and the newer Prescott core CPU's.

DVD/CD-ROM & Floppy drive not able to view contents.

Have this scenario. In winxp the the floppy drive and DVD drive installed in system. BUT! When a DVD/CD is placed into the drive it will read but displays the disk as having no contents. The CD/DVD label does not change to the disks label.

HELP with SL-915GPro-FGR

I just recently got a new mobo and processor. I got the SL-915GPro-FGR from soltek a 3. 0ghz intel. When I go to start it up it does a check for IDE components. After about a minute it gives me a firmware error and continues on.

I have a Duron 1. 2 gig, with 256 and 128 ram, all the games I have play well except the punisher thats because my rage 2 doent support T&L or Glide technology and Battlefield 1942 it does not play at speed I know that is memory but what if I upgrade my video card to 128 megs ...
