Intel 915G Chipset may not run at SATA150

amos1
Just a quick note for you out there considering a motherboard based in the intel 915G express chipset. 915G chipset with ICH6: SATA150 may not work at UDMA6(ATA133) ICH6 even though supporting SATA drives I think may be limited to UDMA5(ATA100) 915G chipset with ICH6RW: SATA150 should work at UDMA6(ATA133)using int ...

Using USB stick without administrator rights

iBram
Hello, My father has a computer here at home from his work, 24/24 connected through DSL with the main office. He does not have administrator rights (NT 4, SP 6). Is it possible to use a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 256 MB? It isn't recognized as a mass storage device and I also tried installing Dell's R62200.

WinFast PVR 2000 - stereo sound?

qodarkness
Hi there I have recently bought a WinFast PVR 2000 video card and I'm using it to convert some of my videos to DVDs. I have noticed that I am only getting mono sounds on my DVDs (left channel only) but when I go into the Configuration and Settings, it says that the MPEG is recording in Stereo on Layer 2.

Sound Hardware - onboard or addon?

Phalanx-Imawano
For some time this was a nobrainer to me. I've always gone for add-on sound cards (notably Creative's Soundblaster series, my latest one being the Live 5. 1) even if my motherboard has an onboard sound chip.

Phalanx-Imawano
I think I recently accidentally damaged my motherboard (ASUS P4P800-X) while installing a new Fan/Heatsink (Global WIN CAK4-88T, which proved to be a better and quieter cooler than the previously installed Thermlatake Volcano 7+, but tricky to install - the screwdriver I used slipped at one point and stuck part of ...

Another RAM question.

Pez_D_Spencer
Ok. Forget my previous post about dual channel this has nothing to do with that this is just a question about RAM in general. From what I understand you can use ram that is a higher frequency than the mobo supports but the memory will only run as fast as the mobo supports right? Also, this only applies to FASTER ra ...
