New pc restarts by itself

Hi it is my first post so I will trie to describe my problem in best way. I just build up pc, istalled all windows and all drivers. Windows are loding normaly. My cpu temperature is from 40 to 50 celsius.

Solution to SBLive! Crackling

Okay, this has to be the weirdest solution I've ever heard for the SBLive! crackling it was a suggestion I received from a little hole-in-the-wall-computer-shop's tech support. . . and it worked! One thing you have to understand about the SBLive! is that it doesn't like outputting high-volume line out signals.

Ok, I instaled a diamond Stealth Radeon gfx card. and it works, but it is on some dual monitor thing. For example, my taskbar and icons are still located on my onboard port. but if I try to play a game it opens on on the video card port.

HELP! Cannot add partition to my secondary drive

Hello ppl. I need to install linux for a homework in university. To do so i got an old hard disk from a friend and tried to install linux redhat 7. 1. The drive had one Win98 partition. The installer said that i had to manually fix the partition cause it cannot do that automatically.

Dual Core and Affinity

Just recently got a dual-core rig, Pentium D 830. Was wondering if anyone had played around with affinity for programs that utilize MP. For instance while I use Premiere Pro 1. 5, should I set my affinity to only one processor for explorer.

Hi, i have recently got my 5. 1 surround system working again. I had it workin 5 months ago. when i have come to get it working again the computer wont load up. It will only load up when the sound card is disabled I have had it working before.

CPU usage 100% after 20~30mins of gaming

Hi all, I dual boot between win98SE and win2K (and Linux too, but that does not matter for this question). For my mouse (a logitech mx500) under win98SE both buttons on the side are labeled as button 3 or middle mouse button by games.

CPU-Z incorrect or is it me?

I ended up getting another 2 sticks of 512 mb corsair xms pc3200 2-2-2-5. I checked cpu z and it said that I'm running my ram at cpu/14 so its about 150mhz. . . it should be 200. I used an older version of cpu z and it reported it running correctly.

I had bought geforce 4000. When i was installing it i uninstalled the old geforce and accidentally clicked restart. After that i turned off the computer and took out the old geforce and put in the new geforce4000.
