Restoring a corrupt Hard drive partition table

Hello people, While upgrading my system the other day (including a reinstallation of Windows 2000) somehow the partition table on my secondary hard drive got corrupted (a Quntum Atlas II ultra Scsi 7,200 rpm disk).

I purchased a new 300gb maxtor hd. When i installed windows xp the 300 gb only shows up as 127gb. no, i do not think i partitioned it. my friend partitioned his ,but it still showed up atleast 270gb.

Hi, everybody I have a problem here, and I can't find anything on the web after an hour or so of searching, so I figured I'd just bite the bullet and ask. I have a Western Digital hard drive that I put into an external enclosure for my wife to use with her notebook (a Sager 9880C).

I have been looking for this and have not been able to find anything about it. I noticed that the Geforce 6800GS had the same chipset as the 6800 but with the 110 instead of 130. On the 6800, you can unlock the 4 pixelpipelines to make it 16 and I was wondering if this is also the case with the 6800GS?.

I got : Pentium 4, 2. 39 Ghz NVidia GeForce FX 5200 Graphic card Ati tv wonder pro (tv tuner card) Windows XP home SP2 My problem : Sometimes when I use the TV option I get a perfect image with a bit unsync sound for about 5 minutes (only on windows startup).

For some reason, when I try to take a picture and do not have a delay on the picture, it still takes forever for the picture to be snapped. I am not running other programs when doing this and have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software but to no avail.

My PC won't boot and tells me that I have a corrupt or missing ntoskrnl. exe file. I followed the directions to fix the file by expanding the file from the Windows CD to the system32 directory and it tells me access denied.

HI all need some ideas here. I have a ATI9600xt 256mb atlantis graphics card running Windows xp Pro sp2 2x 512 ddr ramm and a 160gig sata hd. 2500+ Amd cpu My problem is that when i am playing Call of Duty2 the comp freezes up and i cant do anything other than reboot.

I have been using my radeon for 8 months or so, it was grat until yesterday. I was playing quake 3, then, I paused ir, gone like for 5 minutes, and wen I came back the window was distorsioned. ok then I shut down the game and worked on windows.

I currently have a 40GB hard drive on my computer and decided it was time for some more space. I just bought a 200GB HD to add in, but haven't installed it yet. I figure it's about time for a fresh install of XP, and was wondering how I should set up my data with two drives for best performance.

I have a computer with AGP4x and I want to get a better graphics card for it. The problem is that all the cards I have seen are AGP8x and so will not work for me. I have seen a card that says AGP8x/AGP4x, does this mean that it will work in my AGP4x motherboard? Also, if it does work, will it be operating more slow ...

Today we got a new wireless keyboard and mouse and went to install it. It is the Wireless Optical Mouse 2. 0. It came with a disk to install a program along. I was stupid and didn't read the directions and plugged in the devices before I installed the program.

Hi All, First off, the setup: MSI K7t 266 Pro v1. 0 A (MS-6380) Mouse: Logitech Optical Wireless USB Mouse. Behaviour: The Mouse starts up just fine and works, but after a certain period of time (about 5 to 10 minutes) it dies COMPLETELY, and windows reports a USB Device Not Found error.

Fast Trak 100 Driver issues?

Gentlemen, After a crash I reinstalled XP pro on my main video editing box. I have done this before, and once reinstalled, when I installed the drivers for my Fast Trak 100 card, my array would show up, and I would be able to access the data that was there.
