Hello Everyone; I need help. Here is my problem. (this worked on my sons system) Well, I ghosted my 120 to the 300 (2. 75 hours) and all appeared to go well. 5 partitions of roughly 57GB and 1 of 1GB.

HP Scanner issue

Hi, I have an HP 2200c scanner which is exhibiting some funny behavior. When it is plugged into the USB port, i immediately get hiss through my speakers. (seems to do this with the SBLive or the onboard audio).

System fan seized, suspect hardware damage ...

My system fan failed a few days ago. I noticed this when the alarms started going off before a very abrupt shutdown. Now very little works like it should. This is the 2nd time I've badly overheated this due to faulty fans (first time cost me a better CPU).

How To Replace/Upgrade Dynamic Disk

Currently I have a PVR system based on BT4. My shows are recorded to 2 80GB drives that are dynamic to look like one 160GB drive. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade one or both 80B drives. PCMCIA MTD-0002

Everytime I insert a PC Card it detects it as a PCMCIA MTD-0002 device, no matter what PC Card I use. Cardbus controller is the Texas Instruments PCI-1211. Anyone have this problem under Win2k, Win98 SE is fine.

I just installed WinXP on my second machine, and I'm having problems with the my graphics card now. The BIOS are set to use the PCI as the primary, which it does, however, it is reverting to the onboard graphics once it hits the desktop.

Originally, we had another webcam. . . some old one that screwed into the back of the computer. It never worked, but we assumed that the webcam was the problem, so we bought a new one. We installed the appropriate driver for it, but the same problem still show up.

Alright, I bought a new hard drive this last summer (Western Digital 160gb, if it makes any difference), and I use that as the drive to store mp3 files and such, and on two occasions, one a couple months ago, one about 20 minutes ago, I noticed that a number of my music files would seemingly disappear.

I am running WINXP PRO and have a HP OfficeJet G85 printer that is new with no physical problems, BUT when i have tried installing it to the system i end up not being able to use SOME of the functions, and sometimes it doesnt even PRINT, one function that hardly ever works is the scanner.

New RAM Problems

Please help! I recently purchased some new RAM for my Dell 8200 series. When I installed it the computer stated that it was unsupported and that I needed 40 ns or faster. I had purchased a Samsung 512MB (2 sticks of 256MB) PC800 ECC 45ns, supposedly this was guaranteed to work on my computer.

I am replacing a failing 8MB PCI video card on an old NT system. So in a nutshell, I was looking for a very low-end PCI card that is NT compatible. The MX4000 64MB is the closest match I could find locally.

Keyboard cause computer to freeze, please help!!

Hi, I have a PB Laptop it was working fine until yesterday,now everytime i press a key on the keyboard (any key) the computer freezes and has to be restarted. The mouse is working fine and all the programs but as soon as i touch the keyboard it freezes, so i cannot type anything.
