New P4 NOT WORKING

I have a PC CHIPS Motherboard for a P4 478 and i got a 2. 26 processor but i used the old 300 watt pwr supply but it didnt work then i tired another busted p4 power supply but nothing still. but when i plug that p4 pwr supply to another MB with another P4 Processor in it it make some sounds but then it goes off ?.

Problem with USB Flash Disk

I have VIA motherboard with an Intel 845 Chipset running Celeron 2. 13Ghz processor and 128MB RAM. I have a Transcend JetFlash USB Flash disk. Whenever I plug it in, it gets detected fine. But whenever I try copying files from it, it seems to freeze.

usb 2.0 not working

I am running a Sony Vaio PCV-RS510 with MS XP Home Edition (SP2). About 3 weeks ago, my hard drive crapped out and I had it replaced. I used the Sony System Recovery disk and everything is working great now except that my 8 USB ports are now operating at low speed and they used to all be 2.

printing preferences problem

hey, using windows xp sp2. right clicking the printer and choosing printing preferences gives me the OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED error. i tried restarting the pool service,removed the printer and reinstalled,tried in safe mode, created a new user and tried again - but to no avail.

Freezing with high pitch squeeling

The last couple days my computer keeps freezing with a high pitch squeeling noise. If I am playing music or a game then most times these audios will still keep playing but that's all, the rest of the computer is frozen and I have to press the reset switch to get out of it.

ATI X850 Pro DVI Not Working

Hello, This is the first time I have ever posted on a forum so please bear with me. I just pruchased an ATI X850 Pro. This is an upgrade from an ATI 9600 SE 128mb(1 vga, 1 dvi). Before installing the new card I uninstalled all of the old ATI software and drivers.

ASUS GeForce N6600 - monitor wont respond on start up

It stopped responding when I made my computer sleep for awhile and then it wouldn't come back on so I had to switch to my computer monitor jack instead of the GeForce. Now I don't really know much about the whole computer thing and how it all works so I could really use a lot of details and step by step.

Are there any issues or problems installing an ATI PCI-Express Video card into an NVIDIA Nforce 4 SLI Motherboard? Im not going to use the SLI part yet. I am upgrading a little at a time. I will eventually get 2 SLI NVIDIA cards, but until then I want to install my X700 Pro video card in the NVIDIA mobo.

Cdrom/dvd suddenly gone from My Computer in Windows XP. HELP!

I attempted to burn my pictures to a cd and found that the task was not listed under the picture tasks. The cdrom/dvd drive is designated as E: in My Computer. Unfortunately it is not currently listed and when I load a cd or dvd it fails to go into the customary high speed startup spin.
