Can't plug a AGP Video Card in

I have a ASUS P4V8X-MX motherboard which has onboard video and a AGP Slot. Problem is that if I try plugging in a AGP video card and power up, the system just beeps and the screen stays blank (regardless of where the monitor is plugged).

Hi I do system maintenance every week, but I get tired of doing it. Its too much of a work. And its not like everything can be done in one sitting. Ok, I am talking about windows update, virus defs update, scandisk, defrag, cleanup etc etc.

I have just bought a new graphics card to replace my old 32MB one. It is a GeForce MX 4000 128MB and when i put it in then plug my monitor into it, it boots up but some windows genuine thing comes up and my resolution looks all wierd.

Hello I've never updated a BIOS on either my desktop or laptop before so I'd appreciate some help in first deciphering whats required and perhaps some assistance on where to get whatevers needed. First up the problem is with my Packard Bell Easynote M7-306EDR laptop.

ATI All In Wonder 9600 Pro (no support error on my screen)

I have just bought ATI All In Wonder 9600 Pro and got this error when i have installed Catalyst Software Suite from CD. I cannot post picture because i cannot capture it on my screen. It is gray square in the center of the screen.

;(since I have upgraded I cannot play any dvd's-I have tried numerous soft ware players an they all do the same thing. the unit attempts to spin up but quits and continues to try again any ideas?????.

BIOS Checksum Error

Getting a CMOS Checksum error during post. . . The BIOS post screen comes up showing the BIOS rev, the type of bios, drives attached, memory installed. . . and at the bottom it says CMOS Checksum Error and stops at that point.

I just bought a Toshiba 512MB gigabeat mp3 player and i installed Windows Media Player 10 and downloaded songs. But after a couple of times I could not sync any more songs onto the mp3. It says that it cannot find the mp3 and to refresh it but that doesn't work.

High temperature reading

I am running a Pentium D 805 (stock right now) And my motherboard utility (uGuru) is reporting idle temps around 60-70 degrees celcius. It reports a system temp of 25-28 which is fine with me, running 6600 GT's in SLi and 2 HDD's.

Trouble Uploading Files

Hey I'm having trouble with uploading things to any where, my computer lags really bad. Imageshack, photobucket, my ftp server all lag my computer out. And its not like I'm uploading huge files I talking 300kb or less does it.

Hi, Ive had this problem for one or two months. My CD Rom's tray wont come out. Nor if i use the ejct button or the mouse. Even the paper clip technique wont work. When i try to eject the drive doesnt come out but it attempts to.

Blank Screen After XP Splash Screen. NO SAFE MODE

Hi All, This is having me pull out hairs to no avail. Here's the deal. Whenever I try to boot windows all I get is a blank screen immediately after the Windows XP splash screen. I have a feeling this has something to do with ATI drivers (since they are crappy).

Hi, I have Windows XP SP2 and I'm having serious troubles with the mouse. I can't use it. Windows loads normally but the mouse pointer is frozen. The buttons don't work either. I have two mice. The primary one is a PS/2 port mouse and the another is an old COM port mouse.

GeForce 6600 SLI?

Anyone know if this card will work with SLI? It says SLI but I am curious as to if it will work with this motherboard. The reason I wonder, is because there is no SLI bridge connector on the top of the card but this board comes with one.

WD External HD causing blue screen of death?

I have a 250 GB Western Digital HD in an Enermax Laureate enclosure. I've been useing it for months with my computer to store my media (music, pics, etc). Today my computer didn't see it, and when I plugged it back in I got the blue screen of death.
