Ok. For a while now I've been having a problem with my computer. I can't access task manager, reg. edit, the run and search commands are missing from my start menu, and i keep getting error messages that say please contact system administrator.

Hi everyone! well i got a problem with my video card. It is a Ge Force MX 4000 pci card but when we put it in we try to start it up but it just keeps restarting and restarting. my dad and i have no clue what is going on.

Help Please

I just bought a x850xt graphics card for my pc. Guess what it doesn't fit. I have the pci-e slot but it is on the top of my card slots and the card i have needs two slots. My dh wants to get a new motherboard to put in our pc but I don't think I would be comfortable replacing a whole board.

Okay, I have tried to solve this problem and am at witts end. Heres the story. My computer was randomly powering down so I took it in to get fixed. I was told I had several virus' and need a restore.

Well, here's my problem: While I was on my other computer, I tried to change the settings for the resolution (it was too low) but then after resetting the pc, it said something along the lines of cannot display this video mode.

I've been looking at the 8500GT video cards, and in all of the pictures of all the cards, I don't see a secondary power supply port. Do these cards not require a secondary power supply?? I was thinking of getting a second 7950GT so that I can use SLI, but one 7950GT is $200 and two 8500GT cards would be about $200 ...

Converting "Dynamic" to "Basic" Hard Disk

I recently moved to VISTA Home Premium from W2KS and moved two of my disks to the new system. Unfortunately VISTA Premium is not capable of detecting Dynamic type of Hard Disks-only Ultimate can. If I want to convert to Basic, VISTA warns me that I will loose all data in that process.

GeForce 7600 Vista driver problem. Please help

I get error messages when I try to install the drivers for my GeForce 7600 GS graphics card. The error message says that the driver is ment for Vista 32-bit. . . and the installation program has detected that the operating system running is not Vista 32-bit.

PC randomly reboots … or not

PC randomly reboots … or not. For the past 2 weeks, my computer simply reboots on its own or just freezes, whether I’m in an app, just surfing or during the reboot. When it comes to a dead stop before rebooting, I hear a click (probably the Viewsonic monitor).

Dual hard disk boot

My boot order is - CD, Floppy and hdd1. My bios does NOT have option to boot from hdd2 (don't know why). Please give an idea how to boot from both hard disks. Boths hdds have xp installed. i want to use boths os independently.

CDROMs not recognized, DVDs work fine - DVR-111D

I can play & record DVDs just fine, but this drive will not recognize CDROMs, even the Nero CDROM that came with it. Below is the Nero Info for the drive also stating 'no disc inserted' while a CDROM is there.
