ICS using dial up in 2k can't see host or call on dialup

videobruce
I have read the M$ KB articles on ICS and dial up, but can't get the client to call the dial up on the Host (Gateway) computer through a wireless NIC/router setup. I looked at the settings and both are on the same domain name, both have the IP address set for automatic.

DNS cache

capoguy
There are two versions of DNS cache tweaks on the net. One is in form of a *. reg file or a copy-paste directions to create one, the other is in story telling registry editing form. Both of them lacks any serious descriptions about what excactly are those values doing.

About High speed connection

Ace
My parents are planning to get ADSL from the Telus server and I was wondering if my computer will support this high speed connection. It's a 450Mhz, Windows 2000 SP3, 128MB RAM, and 8GB hard drive. The mother board did not come with a ethernet card only a modem.

ICQ/AIM.. Firewall?

NemesisX
Just been having some trouble with ICQ and AIM. When I connect to ICQ I frequently get disconnected and it takes a while to reconnect. Sometimes it doesn't even reconnect at all. This is mostly the problem with ICQ.

Open Resources in NT 4.0 server is incorrect

mabuhay
This morning the Open Resources (files in use) on our server (NT 4. 0)showed one user with about 50 open files from the server shared directory. This was preventing others from editing the files. In reality, he didn't have ANY of these files open on his system.

All of the computers at my house are members of my domain, which is named LOTL. But when friends come by and I try to access some of there shares, the login box pops up, and in the login box I try guest on both user and pass and the login box immediately comes back with LOTL\guest prefilled into the username spot.
