General VPN Question...

Lotus
When a vpn is setup correctly, are you able to see the workgroup under network places? Or do you just connect to it's IP ( ) and map the drive that way? Is there any options that a VPN supports that I should be using optimise the connection?

Winroute on WinXP Pro

PinkPanther
Hello all, I am using the latest version of Winroute, and have been experiencing some serious blue screen crashes on WinXP, which I find really unusual. I have not been documenting the crashes yet, but if any of you need details, I will start doing so.

Admin Share Weirdness

Champion_R
Sometimes I've encountered this weirdness when trying to connect to an admin share. When it prompts for the User name and password, the username field is ghosted out and thus stuck as guest. Does anyone know why this happens and/or how to fix it?.

XP Pro workstation thinks it has two computer names in logon

March
When I set up a new computer at work, usually I have to add its computer name into the server to register it onto the domain (Red Hat 7. 3 server). This works fine. The computer I'm having problems with was originally on the network, but I need to change the computer name to reflect its room change.
