W32.Swen slamming my Exchange

Within the last week my Exchange2k server has been slammed with Swen viruses. I have Symantec Antivirus with Exchange protection on there, but my inbox is still getting full of virus warnings that have been blocked.

I'm not sure exactly what's gone wrong, but here's the story, so maybe someone can help out. I had a PC running WinXP with 2 network cards. One was hooked up to my cable modem, the other was connected to a switch into which another machine was connected.

XP Pro having problem connecting to network printers

;( I'm sure that i'm not the only one having problems with XP machines but i really need all the help i can get. Recently i've been connecting XP Pro's to network printers(HP & Lexmark) and at first they connect but then once i leave them for about 2 to 5 min or longer.

Hi! Is it possible to export/backup a user in xp? On my laptop I have a user that is a member of the domain in school. Is it possible to backup this user so I can re-format my laptop and import the user afterwords and still be a member of the domain? Do you think this is possible?.

I was told that i had to create the user profile on that machine for others to access it which works fine, but now i have got lots of log on options when i start up but non of them can log on locally so is there a way of removing them from the list at start up ? ...

I've successfully setup and configured a Windows 2000 Pro SP4 distribution share that is fully unattended and working fine. I've created the same thing for XP SP1. I've made the distribution share (SERVER1\winxppro$) and assigned FULL ADMINISTRATIVE permissions to the share (for diag purposes only).

i have got a wired network at home and have just got a laptop, i have connected the laptop via a cable but i would like to get the kit to connect it wirelessly !! What do i need? I have had this problem for some time now and wanted to shoot a question to some of the experts here on this fourm. Logging into my W2K domain takes several minutes. I have a login script but it only maps a couple of drives from the server.

Hi Gents, I'm running a service on a windows NT2000 system and the program launched as a service must interact with the desktop. The program uses mounted drives on another shared resources So the service must be launched with a specific domain account and not the LocalSystem account.

Hi all, Got a question. I setup terminal access on w2k server at home. I can TS in as admin but when I try to login as a user (domain) with privildge to to termserv in I get a message The Local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively.

where i work, we have servers running windows nt 4. 0 server sp6a. one of these servers is a domain controller. we just got some new client computers running winxp pro. these are the first winxp machines in the building.

What I need for a small network

I'm getting a new computer and I want to connect it with a laptop. They both have a NIC and I know I will be needing a hub. Do I need look for anything specific in a hub? Also are there any software needed to install? Thanks.
