Logging network activity

I hava a home network with 5 computers, 2 of them go to standby with no problem, the other 3 wake up soon after standby. If I disable wake on lan they stay asleep. Where has my rrasmgmt.msc gone?

We are running a Windows 2000 Active Directory domain here at work. Until two days ago I was using a Windows 2000 Workstation. I had the adminpak. msi package installed from the Windows 2000 server CD which gives me loads of Administrative options from my workstation for the domain.

Is there a remote desktop server for Win2K Pro?

I am controlling my Win2K pro machine from my Linux laptop with VNC which is less than responsive due to the nature of rfb's implementation (polling, guesswork and bitmapped display). I know RDP (aka terminal services / remote desktop) is a lot faster, and I have an I can use.

I'm trying to make sure all of the users here at work are using complex passwords. We are running a Win2k AD Domain and editing Group Policies I can do, well almost. I open up the Active Directory Users & Computers snap-in.

Large temp folders in roaming profiles

On our NT 4. 0 network, we use roaming profiles. Some of the user profiles have a temp folder, and these can get very large (up to 1 GB), all of it junk, which makes for very slow logon. Other profiles do not have temp folder at all.

Uncomplete Network?

How does the following network behaves in different situations? machine 1 NIC binded to IPX/NETBIOS and Microsoft network client, no TCP/IP binding. A dialup adaptor binded to TCP/IP, but not to IPX/NETBIOS, and not to Mcrosoft network client.

Remote desktop thru ics

situation i have win2k3 with ics as my main network server it is connected to cable modem and has private ip address of 192. 168. 0. 1 i have another server 192. 168. 0. 2 on teh private network i setup a dynamic dns service on the main server so i can get to it over the internet without needing to know what the ip is.

Hey all i did some searches but could not find the topics i swore i saw before. basically i got some XP and 2k3 server machines here - for a while,. things seem to run good when i rewired our home office / house with all CAT6 cable - but only 100mb hubs and nics.

Connection Speed Drops

Hey, just wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I Windows XP (SP3) my download speeds gets to around 120k/sec (which is normal, i am using 1mbit cable) but then suddenly drops, sometimes raises again then suddenly drops again.

PHP on IIS virtual server

I've been running PHP and IIS for some time without a hitch. . . Now I'm hosting a second domain with the same IIS server on the same machine. . I added the site and determine which site it is with host header information.
