LAN to WLAN bridge slows network to 1Mbps

The setup: Win2003 networked to XpHE via the WLAN at 54Mbps. Win2003 networked to Xp Pro via LAN at 100Mbps. I want Xp Pro to share files with XpHE, so I bridge the LAN and WLAN with Win2003. Bridging the 2 network cards slows the WLAN down to 1Mbps.

I got a Linksys Auto Sensing Switch with 5 ports. What I have connected is the ADSL Modem, one desktop, one laptop and one Xbox. From modem to switch is a crossover cable while switch to desktop, laptop, and Xbox are all normal patch cables.

NT security event logger not showing failed attempts

Our PDC is not logging all failed logon attempts any longer. It used to log any attempt by anyone to logon to the network if it failed due to bad user name or bad password. Now it only logs failed attempts if you try to logon to the network at the PDC, but not for clients who try to logon.

What's the point of File & Printer Sharing?

I was able to share file resources without having the Files & Printer Sharing service installed, I have yet to test this with printers but I was curious as to why this is even there? Is this for sharing over the internet or what?

We just upgraded one of our NT4 domains to W2K. We are currently running in a mixed mode as we have not migrated all domains yet. We are having issues with users VPN'ing into the network. We are using Nortel's VPN solution, but that is not the problem.

I have a windows 2003 server setup which runs NAT and ISA 2000 as web proxy. Whenever I try to copy files across to the 2003 Server machine it will start and then freeze for a while. Often it will come up with a warning that the network path was not found.
