Peoples, I currently run a Windows 2000 AD Domain. The primary server runs DNS so that everyone can resolve members of that domain (shock horror!). For the purpose of this example, lets call the domain billybob.

Got a question. Here at work we have a dedicated DSL line and a corporate internet line that run through a proxy server. I like to add a 2nd NIC that I can use DSL exclusively for internet via SBC Gloabal without going through a corporate proxy server.

Hello, please help, my dad and I have always been able to hook up and play some racing sims. But, now we can not connect or even ping each other, it times out. We both have Charter ISP, and we both have XP SP2, with the firewall disabled.

We have a second WAP that I would like to set up so we have overlapping coverage. But I can't seem to find any information on what the best way to do this is. Should it be the same SSID? Should it be on the same frequency? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI, Im trying to set up IPX protocol on a home network of 3 PCs. One has W2Kserver the other 2 have W2Kpro. I have installed the protocol via My network places/properties on all 3 machines, and I have defined the frame type of 802.

My friend has his PC hooked up through his ethernet port which is the only one on his PC. And he wants to run his Xbox online through his PC. Can he plug his Xbox into the ethernet and use his LAN port for his PC? Sorry if I didn't describe that very well, that's all the info he has given me.

Two Small Biz Server 2000 questions

First question should be easy, but I can't find it the solution. Where do I go to find out the total number of client licenses in SBS2K? It is not in the control panel (they say that with SBS it is not in the Licensing applet) and when I went to the SBS adminstrator I did not find an obvious location.

My computer just started acting weird. Some pages come up perfectly fine while others say done with errors on page (and the page doesnt come up :ex: gmail. google. com) from what i have tried to figure out I am missing a DLL file (code 0?) but i do not konw how to restore these on my computer.

Here is the long and short of it. When I run the Network Connection Wizard under Windows XP Pro to create a new dialup connection. It assigns a com port and modem that does not exist. My Compaq Evo N800C has a built in modem at com 4.

Well after plugging away at Exchange I got almost all of it to work except OWA. I can bring up OWA with Netscape with no problems, yet with IE it is stuck on loading inbox and can not display folders.

OleMainThreadWnd error while shutting down

I get OleMainThreadWnd -error when I'm shutting down my NT4. Clicking End task will will free the shutdown process, but It's annoying to always click End task -button. Is there any solution to stop this? I've tried even to install the windows againg, but no help.
