I have a windows XP client who VPNs into our Windows 2003 server with the windows provided VPN connections. He is Eastern time and the server is Central time, and everytime he VPNs, the machine synchs its time with the Server and reverts to Central.

Kinda of an unusual circumstance but my schools mail server has recently upgraded itself and i can no longer access my mail via Outlook express or outlook. . does anyone know how i could set outlook to download my messages by using the adress bar or any other methods? i can not stand web based email! ;(.

Ive been using my router to connec through to xbox live, but it wasnt working properly, so i contacted the people who made my router and they said to reset the router, so i did. Its messed it up well bad, ive reinstalled the drivers and all that, but still i carnt connect through the internet on it or xbox live.

What's your optimum MTU, under broadband and Win2K?

Lately, I've been running some experiments to try to discover why it is that my Win2K machine takes so long (2 - 5 secs) to resolve a website and begin to download the first page. I'm using 2M bit ADSL broadband, PPoA, via a router-modem, with my single Win2K machine attached via Ethernet.

Hi! I can't find any working DNS server for XP Pro. I've tried Simple DNS Plus (service craches on first dns lookup) and the NT-port of BIND (program ended unexcpectedly), but no luck. Can I somehow use the dns server from Win 2000? How do I rip it? - Tom.

if i try to do the emule tcp-udp test - it fails. . . if it try to do the bittorent 6881-6889 ports test it fails. when i try to put the port here: its say that there is a problem. . i dont know whatr to do - i dont have any viruses or spybots and my windows is 2 days old.

When installing Norton anti virus, I beleive it is neccessay to disable the Windows firewall. Should this be re- enabled after Norton installation or is the Norton firewall sufficient?.

If I transfer files from box A to box B using box A as the controlling terminal all is fine, BUT if I transfer the SAME files from the same location to the same location using box B as the controlling terminal the transfer is either very, very slow or dies altogether.
