Now i was quick to make my slipstreamed Win2K SP3 CD and reinstalling on my computer. After that IE6 was also installed. Now after all this controversy over the EULA, i have decided to give windowsupdate the flick.

Yeah, then the bastard BSODs, reboots, and you come home to a garage door opener filled with bullet holes because the dog thought it was talking $hit. I think I'll stick with my German Shepard. . . .

Separating Wireless and wired networks

I have a Linksys WAP11 as well as a Linksys router behind the cable modem. My main PC (Domain Controller) has 2 network cards which I was told I could tap the WAP11 to the 2nd network card for better protection and to create separate network for wireless.

Lost Administrator Password

I have a job site where one employee has seemed to changed my Administrator Password on a Win2000 machine. Does anybody know how he might have pulled it off and what I need to do the same so I can see if he does it again.

Deny user from logging on locally whacked ME!

I added my boss' username and password to my server at work so he could use the shared printer. I wanted to remain the only person who can actually login to that machine to use it, so I set the security policy to deny local logon to users (I login w/ administrator).

NTFS Security Permissions Question

After Installing Windows 2000 Pro, I removed the default security permissions on each of my partitions (Everyone - Full Access). I then applied custom permissions to the Administrators local group, SYSTEM, and Creator Owner.

AVG antivirus.

First of all, I would like to add a disclaimer. No antivirus is perfect. Secondly, the question. Have any of you tried AVG ()? If so, what did/do you think? The reason that I ask is that I have successfully used it to clean numerous viruses, and have run it alongside McAfee to compliment the retail antivirus.
