Hi, i am currently using a shared computer, and i would like to know if there is anyway of password protecting files in my documents, or if there is a utility i can get that allows me to do this, the same sort of way that msg plus for msn lets u password protect conversations.

Norton Internet Security problem

I hate this stupid program and it came with my computer. I want to know how to delete it because it say that I don't have the authority to delete it and it's my own computer!!! It prevents me from downloading programs, no matter what setting I put it to and even when I log off it does the same thing.

When i signed into msn, i spoke to somebody and it came up with something that included a link. . . so naturally i clicked the link and it has now put some sort of a virus onto my computer, which is using my account and sending the same link i recieved to all of my contacts.

im not great with computers but ive been trying to fix a problem and failed, when my computer turns on and you log in, after about 3 seconds it restarts and i can do nothing. when i try to restart it in safe mode it fails and just takes me back to advanced startup options.

Recicle Bin problem

Hello everybody, I download a. avi file from Emule and i have problems to fully delete. I couldn 't delete it from the folder i do it from the Emule, and it went to the recicle bin. Now i can't delete from it, i can`t do anything with the file.

Pop ups lock up XP machine requiring reboot after loading Norton Internet Securi

I have a Win XP machine (version 2002, service pack 2) w/ Internet Explorer 6 (service pack 2). Everything was fine. Then, I loaded Norton Internet Security 2005, and during the installation got a warning messages indicating a conflict between XP's and Norton IS's version of some html file.

I have the latest ATI Catalyst 5. 7 drivers installed on my system and they work flawlessly! I ran the Microsoft Antispyware program as I regularly do and lo and behold this Trojan. 93 appeared as a severe security rating.

Okay so my cat was walking all over the keyboard one day,And suddenly all the font got all big,Not the whole computer just Windows Exploror and AOL,I tryed going to font size's but even though I have it on smallest It's still quite big.

I have tried a goole search but to no avail. this is intresting. . . When i run ad-aware (full scan) about 5 mins into the scan norton pops up and says; Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan Event: Threat Found! Threat: Trojan.

Disabled Norton 2003

After switching on windows XP, Norton Security 2003 disables itself. I am unable to unistall Norton as it denies me administrator rights. Using Synmantec downloads I have managed to uninstall it and then reinstall Norton from my CD, but the problem reoccurs.

Please help. I have a myster icon that keeps popping up in my system tray - a purple and red double helix (like the DNA structure). Everytime is comes on - it trys to start a program on my computer. I cannot seem to find where it is coming from.

I have Norton 2003 and am about to upgrade to Internet Security 2005. I plan to use the Parental Control feature/Productivity control, which is normal conrolled under a Supervisor account, but I want to give Restricted users (like my son) access to firewall for when he's playing online games.

I configured a D-link G700AP to use WPA and contact our win2k3 server, which is acting as a radius. Clients and authenticate fine and access the network. However, every 2 - 5 minutes, they disconnect, and have to reauthenticate.

Hi all. I wasn't sure where the best place was to put this question. Can anyone tell me is there a way to block ports in Win XPPro, without having to use a router to do it. I know that some firewalls claim to be able to block ports but they don't allow the user to do it themselves.

hi there When I try install Norton 05 Internet Security s box comes up IDSERR_REGISTERWITHLIVEUPDATE when I hit ok. . . . . A box comes up saying SETUP ERROR- NORTON 2=INTERNET SECURITY 2005 INSTALLATION HAS FAILED.
