Hi everybody I fell for the Norton website puff, and installed the Norton Antivirus 2006 Beta or at least tried to. It crashed 3x during installation, creating Symantec error logs in zip format, and never fully loaded.

hello Sir, my pc is very slow. i hav microsoft windows xp professional 2002, my RAM size is 128 mb, processor (intel celron) 1700 mz and 40 GB hard drive capacity. i increased virtual memory 600-650, but it is still slow.

Recover encrypted files off XP HDD

Sup ppl. i have this annoying little (i hope it's little) problem. the thing is that my laptop died, but the hdd is all good. i was running winxp with encryption enabled. so now i have this USB case for my hdd, and i can access it through my desktop but my files are encrypted so i can't copy them off.

Virus / Trojan problem

Hi, my machine picked up a virus , the O. S is 2000pro, it managed to get past Outpost, Norton, Adaware se and Spy bot, none of these could find anything wrong so I installed Spyware Dr which did find problems and a mate installed Trojan Hunter which found several more problems.

I run Avast! Virus protection and every few minutes I get a small popup from avast warning me of an LSASS Exploit (sxp) and then it lists my wan ip and a port number. I have no idea what is going on here.

Hi All, First of all I admit I am in no way shape or form an expert on viruses/worms/vulnerabilities or threats. However, I do run ZoneAlarm's AntiVirus (which comes as part of the Internet Security Suite).

Hi Gang, It seems like this has happened maybe 10 times now. I get this prompt for my passport and can't figure out where it's originating from. The only local process that could/should be asking for that is MSN Messenger, but when I look in task manager it says Explorer.

Hi i recently had a hard drive crash and had to replace it & reinstall xp. The problem is i had some music stored on another hard drive, i can see the files using explorer but when i try to run them i get this error message off media player Windows Media Player cannot access the file.
