I have windows XP home edition and when i go to shutdown/restart it goes to that blue screen and says. . . . . saving your settings. . . . . windows is shutting down, and then it just hangs there for at least a couple min.

Has anyone seen the new Macintosh computers and how they have that curved icon rollbar thingy at the bottom of the screen to select stuff? I would like a program that simulates that thing for my windows taskbar.

hello! I installed Ok MS OFFICE 2000 Premium in WinXp but when I want to run Office applications crash all. Word, Excel, Acces etc are opened for few seconds and agter that are closed. I clean with microsoft advice the computer but the same thing.

Outlook displays a login screen everytime you try to check email, asking for the user name and password for the email account. Then it INSTANTANEOUSLY fails to validate and keeps asking. Microsoft has a knowledge base article describing this problem.
Where does Media Player 8 keep its files?

Does anyone know where Media Player keeps the database that holds CD track names? And is it openable by Access or some other similar program? Failing that, how about WinAmp?

For some reason, Outlook isn't launching, it gives me an error Error signature AppName: msimn. exe AppVer:6. 0. 2600. 0 ModName: directdb. dll ModVer: 6. 0. 2600. 0 Offset: 00005556 I remembered before that there was a place where you could access to repair installations, like IE etc.
MS is becoming more accomodating these days.

Its funny to see MS working with Oracle. I guess with PHP and MySQL on the tail of MS in foreign countries they are becoming much more accomo these days; as well as the release of ASP tools the other day.

Anyone know how to bypass the 'denial of right click' function in Internet Explorer when trying to copy something? Was using a trainning program (CBT) that runs throught IE and wanted to save some of the material for notes and future reference.

Anyone know how to get rid of the EAX splash screen that appears on startup? Apparently a file called CTEaxSpl. exe is being called from somewhere & is playing 1 or more AVI files. Someone on 1 of Creative's newsgroups said to use Msconfig, only prob is I've already checked that.

I've got a problem With my Media Player. . . . If I open a window with audio in it - eg my mp3 folder and double click then theres no problem - Media Player pops and plays the file. If - on the other hand - I try to open a file from Media Player it immidiately locks up and hangs untill I terminate it from task manager.

Olá pessoal! Hello folks! Intel Application Accelerator realy improve the system performance and reduces boot time. But I can't say something about Intel's AGP driver 'cause I couln't install it. I tried in 2 different machines using agp 4x running win2ksp2 + dx8.

I use it, it does increase the speed. Its for Intel chipsets only, From the readme The Intel® Application Accelerator is designed to improve performance of the storage sub-system and overall system performance.
