What does Synchronization Manager - mobsync.exe /logon Do?

Hi Gang, Thanks as always for all wonderful help and feedback. This program is set in the registry on my Windows 2000 machine to run automatically and I'm wondering what does it do? I think it's for network environments.

Can you set ACLs per application rather than per user/group?

Just wondering since I use the Contig. exe util to clean up the bits that diskeeper misses and 'System Volume Information' has only SYSTEM access rights an i have to change this every time I defrag. Would be quicker if I could just give contig the access rights it needs for just that folder.

Lost web view in Explorer running 2k

I have lost the default web view in explorer open windows. When I open a folder or drive the left pane ins't there. The whole width is the directory. I can change it back, but I have to go through the 'customize this folder' wizard and create a html template to do it and it is only for that view.

MS could potentially at her discretion do anything to the DO version of the corp. XP, just looking at recently what it does when you hit that start menu item called 'windows update' 1. It invoke the program called wupdmgr.

I tried the steps on getting it wokring in 2000, but that didnt work. Everytime i run the exe, it runs but is all smashed into the top half of the screen, and going to properties and forcing it to run in 640x480 isnt working either.

I just installed Partition Magic Pro 7. 0 and partitioned my 2 HD's. The HD that Windows XP is on I partitioned it into 2. The 2nd HD I partitioned it into 4. These are all logical partitions. Anyway that worked out fine.

Open Regedit. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10. 0\Outlook\Preferences Add a new DWORD value and name it MinToTray Set it equal to 1. Restart Outlook, it should now minimize to the tray.

WMP9 error trying to stream

I don't know if this is a WMP 9 issue or SP1 or what. But, since I installed them I get an error every time I try to stream media using WMP. The error is: Visual C++ Program: C:/. . /. . /Windows Media Player/wmplayer.
