I'm a little confused on how to approach this problem. . . I want to be able to access a single instance of my Outlook 2000 data; email / contacts / calendar, from any one of a number of Win98 clients.

Text quality on 19" CRT

This is going to be a longish one so I appologise up front. I have a Sony CPD-G420 19 CRT monitor running on a GeForce4 MX 460. My machine is a home built Athlon XP 1800+ with 1. 15GB RAM. I'm running WinXP Pro with ClearType turned on, Direct 9b, etc.

Massive data upload when dialup adapter is running

After a few minutes without a browser running using DU Meter as a in/out monitor I'm getting a massive (for a analog connection) upload of unknown data to a unknown destination by a unknown process. I have: Done a virus scan (though not up to date definations) Used AdAware V6 and SpyBot V1.

Windows XP embedded?

What is really xp embedded? I have a windows based gameserver that all it does is to run hlds (Half-life dedicated server), a small mysql server to store banned players, a small webserver with php to display some minir stats about the server and remote desktop so I can connect to the server.

Mail Client that sorts IMAP

I know a little about IMAP and its workings (I run an IMAP server @ home). I am just curious to see if anyone out there has a mail client program like OE (but not cause it dont) that sorts IMAP mail accounts? It has to be shareware/freeware and Outlook isnt an option as I run OO @ work.

How can I make Text Upper/Lower case in Dreamweaver?

Hi Gang, I'm wondering what keyboard shortcuts and or menu commands will allow users to highlight a block of text and make it entirely lower case or upper case. I'm using Dreamweaver 2004 and one would think it'd include such a function.

Win2k and the recycle bin

when deleting files from the recycling bin it takes a few seconds longer than it should be. Win98 and XP deletes it almost the same time u click to empty so therefore its quick. anyway i can get it to empty quicker in Win2k? thanks.

Problem with the hard drive movie/clone

Refer to: I did it the clone, E:\ to C:\ - boot. ini and of course the boot sector was lost. It also re-sized my hard drive to 10gig (as E:\ was) but in partition magic it showed it as 30gig. . .

Has anyone here who uses Win2K or WinXP recently invested in Drive Image 7? If so, how reliable is it, particularly on backup to/restore from CD-RWs and another partition? Am vaguely thinking of getting it myself.

Bypassing CRC when copying

I have several CD-Rs of backed up mp3s. I recently went to combine those cds to DVD-R. When I try to copy from my cd to my hard disk, I get a message saying that it failed the CRC. The problem files are read fine in winamp so wherever the error is, it must not be anything major.

symantec 8.1 corp problem

i had a good working setup with symantec 8. 1 on win2k3 rc2. Clients are various windows varieties with various versions of symantec corp either 8. 0 or 8. 1 this was working great i would download the update on the server and all clients would have it almost instantly.
