Can't access My Computer?

Could someone please help me out? All of a sudden when I try to access My Computer all I get is a folder icon and the searching pointer but nothing happens, no folders or files become visible. Nero 6 / "Drive in use..." error

Because there's a possibility that someone will run into something like this, I figure I'd post my findings here. The error occurs in Nero 6 (up to 6. 0. 0. 11) where after finalizing your compilation and thus be set to burn, you'd get an error stating Drive is in use by another application.

HTML files missing icons

All saved html & htm files absolutely REFUSE to display their icons. . . I've tried reinstalling IE, reinatalling SP2, uninstalling & reinstalling GoLive & FrontPage, resetting file associations via the open files with dialogs etc.

Error message: Windows NT 4.0, problems starting

When I try to start the server from services in Windows NT 4. 0, I get an error message saying, Not enough storage space is available to process this command. I'm no expert on this, but I have plenty of free RAM and hard drive space.

XP stops responding when saving a picture

Help! When I try to save a picture in a browser (IE6 or ybrowser or Firefox or Mozilla 7. 2) the save dialog box 'greys-out' and the application enters a 'not repsonding' state. I have to end the task in Windows Task manager.

Desk Top missing, icons okay

I have a problem after surfing the net, My desktop goes completely white when the cursor is on the page and turns beige when the cursor is on the bottom tool bar, my icons are all in place and when i restart i can see my desktop for a second or so then changes color (white) again.

Which product to diagnose disk drive issues in W2KServer?

I need to use something like Norton's Utility to disagnose some drive issues that I am facing with a system running W2K Server. I see that Norton System Works cannot run W2KS but only W2KProfessional.

Using Ghost v9 to backup to CD-R or CD-RW

I just installed Norton Ghost. When I select the option to backup to CD-RW, I consistently get a message that the disk is either not formatted or is write protected. I have formatted both CD-R and CD-RW disks using Roxio's Direct CD (data format).

ok I have like 5000+ pictures of my kids etc so far which I have backup on dvd-r. Problem is that they are really not organized and just thrown into various folders etc. what is the best software package out there to help me easily organize and backup my pictures onto dvd-r?.

NAV 05 Install msvcrt.dll

I just bought a NAV 05 and went to stall it on XP sp1, it gets to the part of the install of the msvcrt. dll and errors out and will not complete the install, I have gone to Symantec and followed there directions as to how to removel all the old NAV, with there removel tools, I have also deleted the old msvcrt.

QuickTime 5/6 won't doesn't like my XP Pro SP!

Did the issue posted by Pikey get resolved? I am trying to install on windows XP Home edition QuickTime as the application required for my recently purchased 20 GB iPod. The messgage I get is The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\Quicktime.

Can't delete .chm files

I am trying to delete a folder of my hard drive but I can't seem to delete the. chm files within the folder. Can anyone help me out with this please? Oh I am running XP pro if that makes a difference Thanks in advance.

Ghost 9 will not load the browser correctly

I have Ghost 9 installed and have made images to a partition on the hard drive and to an external USB hard drive. I have used images successfully from either media using the Ghost 9 Boot CD. (Note: DEP is enabled on my XP Pro Sp2 - as indicated by Symantec) Bottom line? The program works fine.

On Windows XP if you want to try and run older software you have the option of running the. exe under a compatibility mode (W95/98/NT4 etc. . ) The feature appears as a tab on the properties page of the exe.
