11 Games That Should Get A Remake Or Sequel

Some games need an HD remake while others desperately require a sequel to add to the story. Here's a collection of titles (excluding the elusive "Half-Life 3") that made the cut.

2016 End-of-Year Open-Source Radeon Benchmarks With Linux 4.9, Mesa 13.1-dev On Many Different GPUs

With 2016 soon drawing to an end, it's time for all of my year-end recaps now of Linux drivers that I have been doing for the past 12 years. Today are benchmarks of a wide assortment of AMD graphics cards on both R600g and RadeonSI Gallium3D drivers when using Mesa 13.1-dev + LLVM 4.0 SVN and the Linux 4.9 kernel for providing a bleeding-edge look at the open-source AMD Linux graphics performance across hardware going from the Radeon HD 4890 series all the way up through the RX 480 and R9 Fury hardware. Here's a fun look at the OpenGL driver performance across this range of GPUs.

Asrock Beebox-S 7200U: Kaby Lake vs. Skylake

I've been using the Asrock Beebox as my day to day HTPC for a few months and it's been doing a fantastic job, so I didn't expect it to be replaced so soon. Nonetheless, Asrock has sent an updated Beebox-S model sporting Intel's new 7th-generation processor based on the Kaby Lake-U architecture.

Fedora 25 Gnome review - A way to land

Hungry for more distro stuff? Well here you go. I give thee a long, thorough and mildly enthusiastic review of Fedora 25 64-bit Gnome edition tested on a Lenovo G50 laptop with UEFI, Secure Boot, 16 partitions and a multi-boot setup with Windows and numerous Linux distributions, covering live session, installation and post-install usage, including look & feel, network support - Wireless, Bluetooth, Samba sharing and printing, smartphone support - Ubuntu Phone and iPhone, weird partitioning and GRUB2 errors, fast but CPU-heavy package management and updates, desktop customization with extra repositories, software, plugins, codecs, and themes, applications and extras, online accounts, multimedia support - MP3 and HD Video, Wayland & resource utilization, performance, responsiveness, stability, battery life, hardware compatibility, webcam, RTL8723BE Wireless network behavior with kernel 4.8.11, suspend & resume, SELinux false positives, other changes and observations, small problems, and more. PowerColor Devil Box Redux Review

My initial reactions to how the Devil Box improved gaming performance have not changed much after the change in baseline hardware. I found that even with a device such as Intel's high performance NUC as the backbone of your system, you still can really game at almost full speed just by using a device like PowerColor's Devil Box to fill your gaming needs. My results shown above are at 2560 x 1440 as a proof of concept that if you have the monitor real estate, you can indeed game at up to 1440p resolutions with the two cards tested. That being said, the sweet spot for resolutions will ultimately be limited by your choice of the video card that will populate the confines of the Devil Box. The only challenge I saw while testing was that the green card had a hiccup in a couple games and did not perform as expected. Driver changes usually fix small things like this in specific games. Smaller form factor PCs are becoming more common place each and every day. As integrated graphics solutions still struggle to deliver gaming performance, there is a solution: PowerColor's Devil Box!

Stealth 350VR Multi-Format Gaming Headset Review

There's a huge range of headsets already on the market to choose from, but when it comes to VR gaming, many of the current headsets on the market are too big, or not ergonomically suitable to wear over the top of a VR headset, such as PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, or Vive, amongst a few others that are kicking around the market right now. The 350VR looks set to change that, with its ultra-comfortable, lightweight and low-profile design.
