While we tend to focus on PC Gaming-oriented displays here at PC Perspective, they dont necessarily represent the highest-end of the PC monitor market. Often professionals working in photography and videography areas have stricter requirements for the displays they use.
Just imagine, if you are mastering video in wide gamut color spaces like DCI-P3 for HDR playback, you need to be assured that the source image on your PC is being accurately represented on your display. While the highest-end production use reference displays that can cost upwards of $20,000, theres a growing market for more modestly priced displays for prosumers that can also provide reasonable assurance of color accuracy.

Asus ROG Strix Hero II Gaming Laptop Review

A gaming laptop shouldn’t only be powerful. For serious play, you also need great visuals and powerful audio, which the Asus ROG Strix Hero II (starting at $1,699, $1915 as tested) delivers. With an 8th Gen Core i7 processor and GTX 1060 graphics, it's VR-ready and you would be hard-pressed to find something this thing can’t run well. This 15.6-inch notebook feels like a 13-incher in your lap due to clever design. With killer sound and a beautiful display, this rig is very, very tempting. But it’s not without its issues: an awkwardly placed webcam and incredibly hot bottom case and loud fan might dissuade you (but it probably wouldn’t dissuade me).

ID-Cooling is still a relative newcomer to the PC-cooling market. However, since 2013, they have come a long way. Managing to secure a solid foothold, they have rapidly expanded into new regions. With each revision or product release, they have shown improvements and quick adaptability to industry trends. This includes everyone's love-it or hate-it feature of RGB LEDs. Microsoft Surface Go Review

Microsoft's history in the budget tablet space is a bit checkered. Remember Surface RT? That was a flop. And other smaller Surfaces just never felt right. But the Surface Go ($349 to start, $549 as tested, before accessories) feels just right. The 10-inch screen isn’t a lot of real estate, but it’s just enough to plop down and get some work done before jamming it into a knapsack and getting back on the road. This makes it a solid partner device for someone who already has a powerful desktop at home and wants to get some minor work done on the go.

Intel’s Pentium Gold 4415Y CPU, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (in our review model) is powerful enough for simple tasks. For the price, it’s a good 2-in-1 for someone who can’t spend a lot but wants the build quality of a premium PC, or as a secondary device for people who are constantly moving but like to bang out some work where they can. The big issue is that it doesn’t last long enough on a charge to run the entire day, and adding a keyboard increases the cost dramatically.

The original Overcooked was one of the sweetest surprises of 2016. It filled the both-butts-on-the-same-couch multiplayer void left behind by sadly-diminished series like Bomberman and Mario Party, and it was co-op! You could bust the game out when your ultra-competitive family was over and nobody would need to be disowned by the end of the evening. Overcooked managed to tap into a niche audience starved for family-friendly co-op fun and became a solid sleeper hit.

Now, two years later, the second course has arrived. Overcooked 2 adds new mechanics, online play, and, of course, a whole slew of new kitchens and recipes, but is this the delicious dish your remember? Or a cold plate of plastic-wrapped leftovers? Let’s dig in…
