AMD Threadripper Cryptocurrency Mining: How To Pay For A CPU In Just Months
The effect cryptocurrency mining has had on the PC gaming industry, specifically the now sky-high cost of graphics cards, is profound. However, someday mining algorithms may change enough such that GPUs aren't the only non-specialized compute engines capable of processing cryptocurreny hash algorithms effectively, or at least aren't so dominant. That said, one fairly popular coin that's based on a CPU-optimized algorithm right now is called Monero. Monero or XMR utilizes the CryptoNight hashing algorithm (as do a few other altcoins). It also just so happens that AMD's Threadripper family of processors is relatively adept at mining it, or so we've learned recently...Read full article @ HotHardware

Mining On The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X Processor With NiceHash
The cryptocurrency market might be down 50% from all-time highs due to tougher regulation in a handful of countries, but miners are still making profits by processing outstanding transactions into blocks and adding them to the blockchain. People that don't own a desktop PC are building them now as mining PCs for extra income. The only problem is that it is still nearly impossible to find an AMD Radeon RX 580/570 or Radeon RX Vega series graphics card. If you want to mine alt coins and can't find a GPU that isn't selling at crazy inflated prices, maybe you should look at CPUs! Read on to see how the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X can earn you some money!Read full article @ Legit Reviews

The PC Landscape with Cryptocurrency
One of the common topics over the past year was the lack of GPU availability. We have all heard about it and many of us had to deal with it in one way or another. Basically the situation is that with the rapid price increase of crytocurrency there is an increased demand from miners to get involved, buy more cards and increase their profit potential.Read full article @ Hardware Asylum
Profits are determined by a number of factors and there are online calculators that help you find a balance between hash rate calculations and cost of electricity. This can give the user an idea as to how quickly they can turn a profit at any given point. From there they can determine profit potential and as with everything computer related, more is better. Of course variables like exchange rate (price) and mining difficultly to factor in and for the most part they go up in a predictable pattern.
