AVADirect Section 9 System

At CES 2019 we went to visit the Alphacool suite and there we saw a pretty sweet looking system that displays a whole bunch of Alphacool's products. This is not uncommon as you want people to see what the products will look like inside of a PC in use.

Cooler Master CM310 Review

At $29.99, the Cooler Master CM310 is the one of the company's most affordable mice, but still packs solid specifications that easily keep up with their high-end models. It has RGB lighting with five modes, a maximum sensor resolution of 10,000 CPI, and a rather uniquely ambidextrous, but somehow familiar shape.

DLSS Ultra Performance in Anthem, BFV, FFXV, Metro Exodus, & SotTR

There are currently five games that support DLSS – Anthem, Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield V, Metro Exodus, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This performance evaluation will compare each game’s DLSS performance on versus off at maxed-out ultra settings to see if it is worth using.

We will test the DLSS Ultra performance of all four Turing RTX cards – the RTX 2080 Ti, the RTX 2080, the RTX 2070, and the RTX 2060 – as they are the only cards for now that that have support for the DirectX ray tracing API. We use Game Ready driver 419.67 which gives similar performance to 419.35 with no performance increases that we could see. Later this month, NVIDIA promises a new driver update that will bring this support to all GeForce Pascal 10-series cards from the GTX 1060 6GB and higher.

Logitech G432 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset Review

Included with the G432 is a 3.5mm to USB adapter as well as a 3.5mm microphone and audio splitter so we can assume connectivity will never be an issue, however utilising the USB adapter is recommended as this allows you use the Logitech G Hub software whereas the 3.5mm wire alone does not.

Netgear Orbi Pro SRK60 Review

Late last year we had a look at Netgear business platform, Insight. This solution brings together devices and cloud management into an easy to use platform. Adding to this solution, Netgear launched the Orbi Pro, its Tri-Band mesh platform for businesses that need a more reliable, easy to manage solution for their shops and offices.

Orbi Pro builds off the consumer Orbi platform with both its looks and hardware with added refinement. For hardware we have the Qualcomm IPQ4019, four cores at 717Mhz paired with 512MB of memory and large 4GB flash memory, this also has a 2x2 Radio that offers 400Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 867Mbps on the 5GHz. There is a separate QCA9984 4x4 Radio that is used for backhaul with a peak rate of 1733Mbps. On the wired side, the Orbi Por offers 1 WAN and 3 LAN ports for the router and four LAN for the satellite, all wired ports are gigabit.

Noctua NH-U12A Review

The NH-U12A utilises Noctua's epic NF-A12x25 120mm cooling fans, one either side of the heatsink; our review of the fan proved it to be the best fan we'd ever tested, and almost a year on, we're yet to see anything better. We've not seen these fans attached to a Noctua cooler yet so we'll be interested to see how these get on.

Silicon Power XPOWER Turbine RGB DDR4-3200 16GB Kit Review

In todays review we are taking a look at a a rather unique SFX PSU, the passively cooled SilverStone Nightjar NJ450. Travis Touch Plus Translator Review

Ever been abroad and unable to communicate properly with the locals? The state of the UK language education system is such that it's a common occurrence even if we jump over the channel to continental Europe. Few can improve upon Del Boy's wonderful Franglais - mange tout, Rodney! - so most of us rely on either an English speaker on the other end or, for the smartphone-savvy generation, a translation app.

Though ever-evolving apps like Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Translate Now and iTranslate do a fine job of voicing translations in myriad of languages, there are instances where fumbling around with an expensive phone, especially for those not au fait with an app ecosystem, is where a standalone device can make sense. It is into this niche that the Travis Translator Touch wants to play.

A bit of history first. Set up in 2016 in Rotterdam by three entrepreneurs, Travis used the Indiegogo platform to raise £1.6m for the original device shipping in 2017 and a subsequent, improved model known as Travis Touch, priced at 199 euros. It is the latter that we're taking a look at today.
