This is the fifth beta release of the 3dhq 1.09 drivers for Voodoo 3/4/5 cards under Windows 2000/XP. NOTE TO WINDOWS XP USERS: The drivers may not work properly upon installation. If this is the case, you must completely remove all drivers and tools from your system including registry entrees and driver files from the system32 directory. This may require selecting a generic or incorrect driver for your video card in Device Manager and rebooting to allow the deletion of the necessary files. Once the drivers are correctly installed (run DXDIAG to test D3D- if only the DX7 test runs, the drivers are not correctly installed and you should try again, if the DX7 and DX8 tests are both successful, then the drivers are properly installed) this step will not have to be repeated for following 3dhq driver releases. It is a unique quirk with some systems in which Windows XP apparently must be forced to accept the new series of DLL's, and once working all future DLL's install fine without extra steps. When installed correctly, these drivers fix several issues in some D3D games, and also improve speed noticably in several D3D titles.Download for Voodoo 3
