Tech-PC has posted a comparison review between the ABIT IT7-MAX2 DDR Motherboard and the ASUS P4T533 RDRAM Motherboard
So my advice would be, if you don't intend on overclocking and want the fastest possible system at stock speeds, well go for the ASUS P4T533 with RIMM4200 memory as it can't be beaten performance wise at stock speeds and does have scope for some overclocking. It can also be used as a board just for benchmarking if you like bragging to your mates. When it comes to achieving high overclocks for 24/7 use, well I believe you will get better results with a DDR setup. However if you do have plans to overclock, and want decent stable overclocks for 24/7 use then I would definetely recommend the ABIT IT7-MAX2. Just make sure you pair it with decent PC3200 or higher memory, as running at DDR400 or above at aggresive RAM timings turns this into one very zippy piece of kit.Read more
