Acer Predator Orion 9000 Review

Acer’s Predator Orion 9000 is a big PC with big performance. Acer’s Predator Orion 9000 is the company’s biggest and most powerful desktop PC offering, with options for up to Intel Core i7-8700K or Core i9-7980XE processors, memory capacities up to 128GB and up to dual GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards in SLI. Acer pours all of this performance into a spacious super tower chassis that starts at $2,500 and goes up to a whopping $8,000 at the Acer store for the premium X299 model we tested. It’s not the most value-oriented PC, but it could check off many boxes for those with a sizable budget looking for a flashy, large, powerful gaming PC.

EZVIZ 4-Camera 4K Security System with 2TB HDD NVR Review

EZVIZ continues to expand their line of cameras and NVR systems. The EZVIZ 4K UltraHD wired kit includes four cameras and a 2TB NVR, and it is one of their newest systems. A while back I reviewed the EZVIZ Husky and was impressed with the build and image quality, as well as the excellent night vision. When EZVIZ sent over the 4K UltraHD Wired Kit I was eager to see how this system would stack up considering my high opinion of the Husky.

Lenovo Smart Display Review

Lenovo's product makes a surprisingly solid case for why a smartspeaker should have a touchscreen, moreso than the Amazon Echo Show or Spot. Normally, part of the appeal of a smartspeaker involves how little attention you can pay to it. If you've got Apple's HomePod, for instance, you can say "turn off the living room lights" or "play 'Sleep Now in the Fire'" without having to wander over to a device or pull it out of your pocket.

As devices like the Echo Spot have shown us though, a screen does expand possibilities. You can view connected security cameras, make video calls, see the weather forecast, or if nothing else, check the time.

MSI Radeon RX 570/580 MECH 2 Review

The new RX 570 MECH 2 will fall into the $300-$320 category where it will directly compete against NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1060, and able to handle games at 1080p 60FPS without a problem. If you want 10-20% more performance the more expensive RX 580 MECH 2 will be the one for you, but it's not worth it if you're only wanting to hit 1080p 60FPS. MSI has used a fully custom PCB on the two MECH 2 graphics cards, with impressive thermal performance throughout our benchmarking and gaming sessions on both cards. They both don't get loud either, which is another win for MSI. They're also stylish looking cards, which is important these days with RGB lights going off in gaming PCs that light up the backplate on the MECH 2 cards beautifully. But do you need to be paying attention to the RX 570/580 MECH 2 cards? Well, considering the holidays are right around the corner, it is a great time to build a new gaming PC.
