All-round Deluxe PC - August 2015

The all-round Deluxe PC will last you a few years without requiring any upgrades. It is a bit more expensive, but is very complete as well. Using the internet, gaming, business applications, photo and video editing - all of these are possible on a good all-round PC, and you should never feel that you are lacking in performance for any of those activities.

This means a good processor and graphics card from the upper mid-range segment. Fast, yet affordable. You also need enough RAM and storage space, not to mention an attractive chassis and reliable power supply that can last several years. Of course you need a quality monitor, mouse and keyboard, as these are used very frequently.

This PC will cost more than the standard all-round PC, but it is also more powerful and has higher-end components. If this exceeds your budget somewhat, then you can have a look at out standard All-round PC instead.

DeepCool DQ750 EVO Quanta 750W Power Supply Unit Review

Using a good power supply unit in your brand new system configuration or even your old one is always the right thing to do not only because that way your system is pretty much guaranteed to function as it should and you may also save some of your hard earned money in electricity bills but also because you will never have to worry about something bad happening to your systems hardware components. Unfortunately many people seem to "judge" a PSU solely based on its output power something which really couldn't be more wrong since there are many mediocre (at best) brands out there that even carry 1KW models (some even higher than that) in their product lines (just recently a friend of mine got a 1200W model by one such company and it nearly fried his entire system). DeepCool luckily doesn't belong in that category and so today we're going to take a look at their latest DQ750 EVO Quanta 750W PSU model.

Deepcool was founded with the mission of providing the best performance & humanized thermal solutions for worldwide customers. Deepcool design and manufacture a comprehensive range of high quality products, covering desktop cooling solutions, laptop cooling solutions, server cooling solutions, embedded cooling solutions, and other thermal components. Our goal is to maintain customer satisfaction by serving our customer’s ever-changing thermal needs and providing the quickest and most comprehensive service available. As our slogan goes, we wish you all “Enjoy your cool life”!

The DQ750 EVO Quanta is a 80 Plus Gold certified semi-modular power supply unit with a total power output of 750W (850W+ peak) out of which up to 744W can be delivered by a single strong 62A +12V rail. The DQ750 EVO Quanta also features a MTBF of over 120.000 hours, 140mm PWM silent fan to keep the temperatures of the interior in check, long and flat modular cables, scratch-resistant coating, the usual CircuitShield array of protections by DeepCool including over voltage protection (OVP), under voltage protection (UVP), over current protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP), over power protection (OPP) and over temperature protection and is covered by a 5 year warranty.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 to launch on 20th August says report

768 CUDA cores and 2GB GDDR5 memory across 128-bit interface 'confirmed'. Japanese tech site Hermitage Akihabara has published an article asserting that the launch date for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 is 20th August – that's this Thursday. In related news the VideoCardz site confirmed various tech specs of the GTX 950.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 rumour mill seems to be heating up. After the initial murmurs about the existence of this graphics card in July we got some very clear product and packaging shots last week. That bevy of leaks included ASUS STRIX GTX 950 pictures, premature retailer listings and product/box shots of a PNY GTX 950.

Tesoro Excalibur Spectrum Mechanical Keyboard Review

As of this week, I have officially been writing for APH Networks for two years now. I have to say it has been an enjoyable time, and I have learned a lot since my initial article of the FSP Raider 550W. I still remember when I began, I specifically told Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Kwan I would only review peripherals until I had a build of my own. As I was running with a Lenovo IdeaPad Y470, it was hard for me to review hardware like RAM, solid state drives, or computer cases without having an actual desktop to test with. Thankfully, I now have a desktop, and I have the ability to review all kinds of computer hardware. However, I still like returning to what I started with. Products such as mice, keyboards, and headsets may be tedious to review, but I enjoy reviewing them, because these are the products you use directly and daily. Products such as storage options or motherboards are definitely crucial for any build, but peripherals are the electronics you hold and feel, providing input and output right back to you. Therefore, a great product will be called great immediately because your senses are immediately notified and satisfied, whether through hearing or feeling. On the other hand, a bad product's flaws are very telling. Sure, peripherals may not necessarily be the most fundamental part of a computer, but any user will generally want a good performing mouse and keyboard attached to their rig. Today, we return to my second favorite peripheral, the mechanical keyboard. While the Tesoro Excalibur Spectrum may look like an ordinary mechanical keyboard, there are actually quite a few things that set it apart from the ordinary. What are these things, you ask? Well, read on to find out!

Tt eSPORTS BLACK V2 Gaming Mouse Review

During our time with the Black V2, the product seemed quite responsive and comfortable, while the extra buttons can be accessed easily when in-game. The mouse was tested in multiple game genres and here we could count League of Legends, Echo of Soul, The Talos Principle, Serious Sam BFE but also GTA V; thanks to the new AVAGO sensor, the experience was accurate and if we feel that the default DPI steps are not for us in the current game, we can easily reconfigure them from the supplied application.
