All-round Deluxe PC September 2018

The all-round Deluxe PC will last you a few years without requiring any upgrades. It is a bit more expensive, but is very complete as well. Using the internet, gaming, business applications, photo and video editing - all of these are possible on a good all-round PC, and you should never feel that you are lacking in performance for any of those activities.

This means a good processor and graphics card from the upper mid-range segment. Fast, yet affordable. You also need enough RAM and storage space, not to mention an attractive chassis and reliable power supply that can last several years. Of course you need a quality monitor, mouse and keyboard, as these are used very frequently.

This PC will cost more than the standard all-round PC, but it is also more powerful and has higher-end components. If this exceeds your budget somewhat, then you can have a look at out standard All-round PC instead.

Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE CPU Air Cooler Review

The Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE is a CPU air cooler that packs some very healthy stats into what is a diminutive package if space is of a concern. Its price is also diminutive at only $30. The Freezer 33 touts a thermal coating that creates "micro-turbulences" in order to give it optimised heat-dissipation and increased cooling performance.

BenQ HT2550 Vs TK800 4K UHD HDR Projector Review

A year or so ago, 4K projectors would have cost you a kidney, an arm, and a leg, but with the advent of Texas Instrument’s XPR based DLP chip, they are finally in affordable territory (where affordable is defined as just a single kidney). An influx of ‘budget’ 4K projectors have hit the market and almost all are priced within the 1300-1700 USD range.

Today we will be reviewing the BenQ HT2550 (known as the W1700 in EU) and the BenQ TK800 4K HDR projectors which are priced at $1499 each – both of which were provided to us by the manufacturer for review purposes.

Collective Minds VR Showcase PS4 Charging Stand Review

Anyone with a PlayStation VR set-up will inevitably find themselves with a lot of controllers, all of which need charging. To complicate matters, the older Move controllers have a different charging port to the Dualshock controllers, so even if you only charge one device at a time you need at least two cables, all of which can be messy and time consuming.

As far as we are aware, the Collective Minds VR Showcase stand is the only stand on the market that allows you to charge this many accessories, plus act as storage for your VR headset and headphones. It’s a great solution to the problem of charging multiple devices simultaneously and keeping everything tidy whilst doing so.

Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360R RGB Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Peer pressure is real and often times very useful. For some it pushes them to do things they shouldn’t, just as often it can be the catalyst that pushes you to achieve goals and do things you would have never otherwise attempted. This year we have seen the bar raised in AiO coolers; both aesthetically and in cooling performance. After massive innovations in their pump tech last year, Cooler Master is back this year with a big step up into the 360mm rad category. The MasterLiquid ML360R RGB is equipped with a big ol’ 360mm radiator and a huge side serving of RGB lights to boot. But how well does the ML360R RGB do at following this trend? Gaming on a budget with EasySMX

Can't afford the fancy new peripherals from Corsair or Razer? Not all gamers can afford to splash the cash on high end peripherals and thankfully there are plenty of budget models on the market to choose from. In this review we take a look at EasySMX’s offering in the form of a £19 wireless controller and the £20 Cool 2000 headset. EasySMX is a Chinese company based in Shenzhen that have been around since 2012 and have focused on creating affordable peripherals since 2014. Intel SSD 760p 512 GB Review

Intel has been the leading company in the semiconductor industry for many years, so it's not surprising that they are an important manufacturer for SSDs, too, thanks to their partnership with Micron. The Intel SSD 760p was released earlier this year and is an M.2 PCIe x4 NVMe drive built around the combination of an SMI SSD controller and IMFT 3D TLC flash.

Unlike other recent M.2 SSDs, the Intel SSD 760p comes with DRAM on-board for higher performance. In terms of design, it's actually very similar to the ADATA SX8200 we reviewed not long ago.

Intel offers the 760p in capacities of 128 GB ($81), 256 GB ($84), 512 GB ($153, this review), 1 TB ($292), and 2 TB ($813). Warranty is set at five years for all these models.

InWin 101C Tempered Glass RGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review

No stranger to innovative design and award-winning products, InWin is always a welcome sight in the eTeknix office. Their 101C is a chassis I’ve been eager to review, and it comes packed full of great features at a very promising price tag. For just £89.99 MSRP (it’s actually cheaper at most stores), you get a tempered glass panel, RGB lighting, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C (hence the C in the name), and a clever interior design that’s sure to look great once your system is installed. The chassis market is extremely competitive right now, but with a solid feature set, this could be a winner for InWin. Even more so, it’s price isn’t in the thousands like some of their flagship products, affordable by maybe Scrooge McDuck at best. So, this is one of their few modern chassis that people can actually afford.

NBA 2K19 Review

It isn’t easy being king. NBA 2K19 is in a tricky position most other games would kill to be in – NBA 2K18 was the series’ most successful game ever, and yet, it was also criticized by many fans for playing it safe on the court and going overboard with the in-game purchases. Personally, I thought NBA 2K18 was a solid effort, but far from the series’ best. Of course, long-running sports franchises can weather the occasional so-so season, but fans will jump ship if too many off years are strung together.

And thus, the challenge facing NBA 2K19 – what do you do when the last entry in your series sold 10 million copies, but has a 1.6 user score on Metacritic? Can developer Visuals Concepts up their game and shift public perception without breaking the well-oiled money-making machine they built with NBA 2K18? Or is this franchise headed for a slump?

Samsung Galaxy Watch Review
