So the XP fury spreads. These two letters are everywhere, Microsoft Windows XP, NVIDIA XP GPU, Office XP and Detonator XP. and AMD also chose this two popular letters to name their new processor, the Athlon XP. Unlike others XP in AXP stands as “Extreme Performance”, not experience.

We all know that AXP uses a new core and been called as “palomino” for a long time. Beside the technological enhancements, the core also has a new naming terminology. The new AMD processors will no longer be named with the clock frequency.
