Their new M500 series has drives available from 120GB to 960GB and feature the latest iteration of the Marvell controller and some updated architecture to match. It's been awhile since we've seen any major drive updates from Crucial but wait we will no longer. With the M500 Series of drives, we not only see an updated controller but also some new NAND configurations and a massive 960GB SSD for a price that won't cause convulsions. We didn't get our hands on the 960GB version, but we were able to procure the next highest capacity of 480GB which should make for an interesting evaluation. Inside, Crucial has placed an updated Marvell controller along with 20nm NAND with some architectural changes that we'll discuss a bit more...

HWBOT TeamCup 2013 Stage 4 @ Madshrimps

The Team Cup 2013 is in full progress. The sandbagging strategy of most of the teams is set into overdrive. Till now no one besides a polish team has started off stage 4 of the Team Cup. Main objective is to share our passion for high speed and extreme cooling methods with an unknown audience.

First stop was at the MSI OC event, which took place at the CDROMLAND shop in the Netherlands. But the team of Madshrimps also got a nice get together at the Tones shop in Heist op den Berg, just a few weeks back. Last friday our last support act was done with support from Gigabyte and Kingston at the 2BY2 distributor Centre in Merksem Belgium.

I wasted already too many words, time for some pictures and lets start the final countdown for the HWBOT Teamcup 2013 !

Core i7-4770K Box Art Revealed? @ techPowerUp

Is this what Intel's 4th generation Core i7 "Haswell" retail box looks like? That is the question. For the first time in a decade, Intel could use a collage of pictures in its box-art. The running theme appears to be "creativity," with the box asking "what will you make?" You'll also notice that the box-art doesn't feature a small case-badge art. The top half of the front side could be what the badge ends up looking like. A little while ago, Intel made a cryptic Facebook post confirming a series launch along the sidelines of Computex 2013, held between 3rd and 7th June.
