All Walls Must Fall PC review: A time-travel adventure set to techno tunes

There's quite literally no time to react in All Walls Must Fall, as you race to halt a nuclear launch.

All Walls Must Fall is a techno-tactics game that allows you to hop into the boots of secret agents who can travel through time. Throw in some seriously good music, excellent visuals, and unique mechanics, and you've got quite the strategy gem coming out of Steam Early Access on PC.

AMD faces customer and shareholder Spectre lawsuits

There are now two class-action suits from shareholders and three on behalf of customers. At the beginning of this week we reported upon how Intel is going to be busy in the courts. A total of 32 lawsuits were said to have been filed against Intel; thirty class-action suits by customers, and two by shareholders. Now AMD is reportedly facing a similar, though lesser, plight as it is also accused of inadequate / untimely responses to the discovery of Spectre vulnerabilities.

Batteroo Boost Battery Life Extender Review

Last year I went to a trade show and spoke with the inventor of Batteroo. The presentation almost sounded too good to be true, citing claims that a recent study showed that most discarded batteries had up to 80% of the original energy still stored inside. Of course their device can solve this problem by maximizing the use of all of your alkaline batteries. Currently the product is for sale through Indiegogo and directly from their website, where a 4-pack of AA Batteroo sleeves is $10 plus shipping.

Crucial MX500 500GB SSD Review @ Kitguru

The latest SSD range to enter the market from Crucial is the MX500. Aimed at the mainstream market segment, the MX500 is a replacement for the MX300 family using Micron’s latest 2nd generation 64-layer 3D TLC NAND instead of the 32-layer used in the MX300 series.

Intel Core i3-8350K and Core i3-8100 (14nm, Coffee Lake) Review

Core or Ryzen? We take a closer look. The last year has been particularly interesting on the CPU front. AMD came out swinging with its array of Ryzen chips from March 2017 onwards, Intel then upped its consumer game, for the first time in a while, in October 2017 when the 8th Gen Core family received a core-count boost. Most recently, AMD finally added an IGP to Ryzen in February 2018. Lots of change.

Such significant movements have shifted the performance landscape for all mainstream chips, and it's especially instructive to see the new value proposition at the mainstream end of the market characterised by CPUs costing £150 or less. Fighting in this space is the Core i3 range from Intel and the Ryzen 3 and 5 processors from AMD. Handily, they all have integrated graphics, too, enabling a fair comparison.

The first question that requires answering is where do the latest Core i3 chips fit into the Intel ecosystem. As usual, the spec table reveals all.

IOGear USB-C Compact Docking Station Review

The IOGear USB-C Compact Docking Station with Power Delivery Pass-Thru is intended for USB 3.1 generation 1 Type-C gear like the MacBook. Given the Thunderbolt 3 spec, it can also be used on the 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro, and the 2017 iMac line.

We tested it on a 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro, a 2016 MacBook, and briefly, a 2017 20-inch 4K iMac.

Payday 2 for Nintendo Switch Review

Being a bank robber sounds so exciting. Wandering into the location armed to the teeth like Neo in that one scene from The Matrix – you know the one. It’s a simple power fantasy, one that I don’t think I’ll be undertaking anytime soon, but in Payday 2 it can be loads of fun to live that fantasy out, finally – there’s even a John Wick costume to get yourself a bit closer to Neo. But while it should be a ripe place to live out dreams of becoming an efficient bank robber, it doesn’t really pan out that way.

In case you didn’t know, Payday 2 is a game where you can undertake a variety of heists with friends and people online. You’ll be raiding banks, planes, shopping malls, stopping vans filled with precious cash, you name it. And levels are surprisingly comprehensive. A plane level begins with you unloading the precious cargo, following after it with parachutes, lighting flares for a chopper, loading three different cash pallets, and then escaping through the sewer on a boat, shooting cops as you make your escape.
