Neoseeker: AMD Radeon HD 7770 & 7750 Launch Review
The AMD's new Radeon HD 7770 and HD 7750 are leaner and nowhere near as mean as their HD 7970 and HD 7950 older siblings, but they do retail at a much lower price. The new cards are intended to tackle the market sweet spot previously occupied by the HD 6770 and HD 6750, meaning $100-150 USD price points.  Southern Islands goes mainstream with HD 7770 and HD 7750, now hit our review to see if they're a real deal

OCC: XFX & Sapphire HD 7770 1GB Review
To summarize, both the XFX and Sapphire HD 7770 perform well under stock and overclocked conditions. I was hoping for a little more performance to be shown off under the HD 7000 series lineup, but we can't have everything. It is a jump up from the HD 6770 cards in performance, but they also cost a little bit more too. Hopefully as the 12.x Catalyst drivers progress, we will see a little more performance from the 28nm cards. Soon, we should be seeing the HD 7800 cards which should be an interesting balance between the big dog HD 7900s and these more budget-oriented HD 7000 cards.

Techspot: AMD Radeon HD 7770 & Radeon HD 7750 Review
Having covered the $549 and $449 territories in January with the Tahiti-based Radeon HD 7970 and HD 7950, AMD is bringing its latest generation GPU to mainstream brackets today. The new Radeon HD 7770 and 7750 use the same 28nm design process and Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture as the 7000 series flagship, albeit in more affordable configurations.

The move to 28nm lets AMD squeeze 1500 million transistors into a 123mm2 die. In addition, the HD 7700 series die is 26% smaller than the HD 6770, while containing 44% more transistors. As impressive as those figures are,
gamers will be more excited to see AMD's prices: the HD 7770 is $159 -- in line with the GeForce GTX 560 -- and the HD 7750 is even cheaper at $109, combating the GTX 550 Ti.

Anandtech: AMD Radeon HD 7750 & Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Review: Evading The Price/Performance Curve
With the launch of Tahiti behind them, AMD is now firing on all cylinders to get the rest of their Southern Islands lineup out the door. Typically we'd see AMD launch their GPUs in descending order of performance, but this time AMD is taking a slight detour. Rather than following up the Tahiti based 7900 series with the Pitcairn based 7800 series, AMD is instead going straight to the bottom and launching the Cape Verde based 7700 series first.

Today AMD will be launching two cards based on the Cape Verde GPU: the Radeon HD 7750, and the Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition. As the Juniper based 5700 series never got a proper Northern Islands successor, this is the first real update for the x700 series since the launch of the 5700 series in October of 2009. Given the success of the 5700 expectations are going to be high, and to fulfill those expectations AMD will be bringing to bear their new GCN architecture along with a full node jump with TSMC's 28nm process. But will this be enough to enable the 7700 series to replicate the success of the 5700 series? Lets find out.

Techradar: AMD Radeon HD 7750
If AMD's HD 7970 debut Southern Islands card arrived in a fancy tux heralding a bunch of world firsts (first PCIe 3.0 card, first DirectX 11.1-compatible), this HD 7750 turns up to little fanfare in a Burton polo shirt and trainers. The new Graphics Core Next's architecture has already been shown off by the HD 7970 and those 4.3 billion transistors pack quite a punch, as it turns out, trouncing the very best of last generations' GPUs by around 20-30% at mega-high res. The HD 7970 is also excruciatingly pricey though. At £440 its staggering performance and overclocking capability are out of reach to most gamers. The HD 7750 should arrive hitting the right side of £80, making it an altogether friendlier proposal, and these new-gen AMD cards boast some excellent power efficiency by shutting off all but one core when your system enters power save mode. But what's this HD 7750 missing out on to hit that price point? Does it still make high-res screens sing?

Techradar: AMD Radeon HD 7770
AMD showed its hand first in this year's GPU arms race with Nvidia... by turning it into last year's arms race. While Nvidia has kept shtum about its upcoming new 'Kepler' architecture and looks to do so until Spring, AMD stole the march and released the first of its new 7-series cards, the AMD HD 7970, a few days before Christmas 2011. That sure was odd timing, but it taught us a lot about AMD's new Southern Islands architecture, specifically the 'Tahiti' chip. It's fully PCIe 3.0-supported, uses a 28nm manufacturing process to pack more transistors onto a PCB than ever before, and apart from offering very quick DX11 game frame rates, it's a highly energy efficient beast. When your system drifts off into standby, the Tahiti card switches itself all but off too, minimising power draw. The HD 7970's whopping £440 price made all those neat features all but irrelevant to the gaming masses though, so we're putting our hopes on this HD 7770 to deliver the best bits of the new AMD architecture for a more palatable price. The 'Cape Verde' chip that this HD 7770 is built around makes full use of the new Graphics Core Next architecture like its big bro, with ZeroCore power efficiency in tow and a solid 1,000 MHz core clock. If it can offer a slice of the HD 7970's performance for this price, it's on to a winner.Architecture, technology and specificationsThe Graphics Core Next architecture is a bold move from AMD in that it represents a move away from the VLIW instruction used in 6-series cards towards a GPU-processing-friendly SIMD vector processor.
