Vortez: XFX DD R7950 Review
The R7950 retains the standard clock speed of the HD7950 but what makes the card different from the 'stock' HD7950 at first glance is the cooler. The GOST cooler really is a thing of beauty and while I do not wish to pre-empt it's ability, if looks are anything to go by, this card will be one seriously cool customer. Looks however can be deceiving and none were this more so than with the XFX R7950. While the clock speeds may remain the same, the card is far from being a reference design. The PCB as we will see is very different from the stock design as it features XFX's 'X' features of both power management, cooling and on-board components which make this card truly 'custom'.

Vortez: PowerColor PCS+ HD7950
The PCS+ HD7950 represents over a decade's worth of experience at the pinnacle of GPU design and manufacturer. Of course AMD can take a lot of the credit but we have seen in the past that even the fastest GPU is pointless without a solid, well engineered platform. PowerColor offer this foundation with their GOLD power kit and Professional Cooling system to make the HD7950 into something rather special.

The Tech Report: AMD's Radeon HD 7950 graphics processor
After retaking the single-GPU performance crown with the Radeon HD 7970, AMD has returned with a cheaper 7950 variant that's nearly as fast. We explore how the 7950's gaming performance compares to the competition before overclocking the thing to nearly 1200MHz.

Benchmark Reviews: XFX Radeon R7950 Black Edition Video Card
Benchmark Reviews recently took a look at XFX's R7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation version of AMD's new top-end Tahiti-based video cards. It's the fastest single-GPU video card we've ever tested, but the $600.00 price was a little hard to take, especially with NVIDIA's GTX580 widely available for more than $100 less. Today XFX has supplied us with the next step down the Tahiti line, the R7950 Black Edition Double Dissipation.

Vortez: AMD HD7950 'Tahiti Pro' Review
The Pro version of the AMD graphics card range appeal more to the budget conscious. Of course, being a top of the line GPU, the HD7950 will be anything but cheap but if it can hold its own against the more expensive (and more powerful) HD7970 without making too many sacrifices then the HD7950 is sure to appeal to the market and if it overclocks only half as well as the HD7970 then you will be getting HD7970 performance for less outlay.

OCC: XFX & Sapphire HD 7950 3GB Review
At stock speeds it offers predictable performance that is well ahead of previous generation parts and in just about every game ahead of NVIDIA's current high end parts. As an upgrade, the current pricing puts it in line with the GTX 580 which it of course beats hands down. Add in Eyefinity capabilities with a single card and the HD 7950 is a card that is a perfect upgrade path for those looking for top end performance but have a hard time shelling out $600 for the top line product. Even just less than $500 the HD 7950 is not a value proposition. Performance at stock and overclocked speeds make the XFX Black Edition Double Dissipation and Sapphire Overclocked Edition HD 7950 video card as potent upgrades to enjoy the latest games. Good looks, Custom cooling and PCB, Awesome performance, and more are good enough reasons to move to the HD 7900 series from Sapphire or XFX.

Techwarelabs: Sapphire 7950 Overclocked Edition Video Card Review
With the release of the new Radeon 79xx series cards we may have witnessed a change in graphics King. The 7970 is without a doubt currently the performance king. The problem is priced anywhere from $579 for the standard edition 7970 to over $800 for an overclocked version you have a card that few but the affluent can afford. Into the Sapphire 7950 Overclock Edition an enthusiast level graphics card more than capable of rendering any game you want to play even in Eyefinity (as we will demonstrate) for a mere $480 or lower. This puts it in a much more affordable and thus more appealing category.

Tweaktown: XFX Radeon HD 7950 Black Edition Double Dissipation 3GB Review
Like the HD 6950, we hope today that the AMD Radeon HD 7950 comes in at that same strong price point and performance level that makes it such an attractive option for people who want some serious GPU power, but don't want to quite spend the money that's associated with buying the highest end single GPU offering.

Today is of course all about the HD 7950 and the particular one is the brand new Black Edition Double Dissipation model from XFX. This isn't the first time we've see the Black Edition Double D name as we saw XFX launch the HD 7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation 3GB on January 9th.

Legit Reviews: AMD Radeon HD 7950 & XFX R7950 Black Edition Video Card Review
AMD has finally released Radeon HD 7950, which happens to be the cut-down version of the Radeon HD 7970 graphics card that hit the streets on January 9th, 2012. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 graphics card is based on the same 'Tahiti' core architecture that is used on the Radeon HD 7970, but some has less features and lower clock speeds. Read on to see how the Radeon HD 7950 performs!

"After spending some time with the AMD Radeon HD 7950 we found it to be to be a very capable graphics card that was hands down faster than the AMD Radeon HD 6970/6950 from the previous generation. From our performance numbers it looks like the AMD Radeon HD 7950 should have no problem beating the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 video card and as you saw in our test results it was even able to beat out the EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified in a number of benchmarks..."

The Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Overclocked Edition pumps up the original stock model. The HD 7950 OC Edition comes with a factory overclock with the core set to 900MHz. Also included is Sapphire's new dual-extractor technology, or Dual-X. The Dual-X is a secondary cooler with an efficient multi-heatpipe design and dual fans. This improved cooler keeps the card cooler and quieter under idle and load conditions. Onboard is 3GB of fast DDR5 memory with an effective clock speed of 5Gb/s. Features of the new 7950 remain in tact, such as the new Graphics Core Next, or GCN. This is AMD's term for their new 28nm architecture.

PC Perspective: AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB Graphics Card Review
Today we are reviewing that sibling, the Radeon HD 7950 3GB GPU that offers basically the same technology and feature set with a slightly diminished core and a matching, slightly diminished price.  In truth I don't think that the estimated MSRP of $449 is going to really capture that many more hearts than the $549 price of the HD 7970 did, but AMD is hoping that they can ride their performance advantage to as many profits as they can while they wait for NVIDIA to properly react.

Techradar: AMD Radeon HD 7950
AMD is really putting the pressure on Nvidia now with its second release of the new AMD HD 7000 graphics card generation, the AMD Radeon HD 7950. Nvidia is still sitting back waiting for the right moment to strike back, but can it recover from these two quick blows?Well, we say quick - it's been well over a month since AMD launched its first card of this generation, the AMD Radeon HD 7970. That was a surprise given that, pre-Christmas, we were expecting both cards to hit the streets at the same time in the first week of January with a possible dual-GPU iteration coming around now.AMD though decided to give its top-of-the-line, £500 AMD HD 7000 card a bit of breathing space at the start of its life, and now that the AMD Radeon HD 7950 is sat here in our labs it's easy to see why its release was delayed.Essentially it's almost as good a card for over £100 less.

Techradar: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OverClock Edition
Sapphire has waded in first with its take on AMD's latest HD 7000 series card, the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OverClock edition.Unlike the AMD Radeon HD 7970 there are unlikely to be very many strictly reference models of the Radeon HD 7950. Instead we're more likely to see card manufacturers taking the opportunity to put their own spin on the PCB, clocks and cooling. The HD 7970 was a reference model all the way down the line, with overclocked versions only coming much further down the release schedule. The Radeon HD 7950 though is being freed by AMD to allow manufacturers to do whatever they like right from day one. With the impressive performance of the reference AMD Radeon HD 7950, which we've already seen, any improvement on that is going to be very welcome indeed. And anything that offers even more overclocking potential with this already blazing fast GPU is just dandy in our books.AMD's biggest card manufacturer, Sapphire, has opted to re-design the PCB and has created a new twin-fan cooling solution to sit atop the brand new slice of graphical silicon.Sapphire has also opted to clock its Radeon HD 7950 OverClock edition 100MHz faster than the reference model we've already reviewed.

This Tahiti Pro is ever so slightly cut down compared to the HD 7970's Tahiti XT, but the disparity in performance is mostly down to the lower core clockspeed. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 is clocked at a fairly conservative 800MHz compared to the HD 7970's 925MHz.We say conservative as the Tahiti Pro GPU, from all the cards we've seen, is more than capable of topping the 1GHz mark.
