AMD Ryzen with 12C/24T appears, excites us all so much

AMD lit up the consumer CPU market with the Ryzen 7 1800X, offering 8T/16C of performance for only $499 - and now, there's a new 12C/24T processor being teased. This new 12C/24T chip will probably end up competing against the newly-rumored X390/X399 chipset for the higher-end Ryzen CPUs.

AMD's Rumoured Upcoming 16-core Part to Reportedly Run at 3.1/3.6 GHz

Some rumors and whispers have been making the rounds lately, regarding a HEDT platform incoming from AMD. This platform (built upon a new X399 chipset planned exclusively for it) would use a cut-down version of the Naples-based server SP3 socket called SP3r2. SP3r2 and the new chip will reportedly offer quad channel memory support, pitting them directly in competition with Intel's HEDT lineup in terms of memory bandwidth.

Reportedly, engineering samples of the 180W 16-core Ryzen currently run at 3.1 GHz Base, 3.6 GHz Boost clocks, which leads towards performance in the level of two Ryzen 7 1700 chips. If the rumors are true and such a platform is in development, then we will surely hear of some more chips designed for it. Going through the trouble of creating a new chipset and platform for a single CPU model doesn't seem likely. Perhaps some 12-core and 20-core chips are lurking just below the surface?

ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti OC (O11G) 11GB Review

With its ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti OC graphics card, ASUS has taken the GTX 1080 Ti, increased its core clock by 115MHz, given it more power headroom, and slapped on a triple-fan cooler. The result of those modifications is an £800 graphics card that promises higher performance than the Founder’s Edition while also operating at lower noise and temperature levels. Plus, there’s RGB lighting with AURA sync to keep up with the ‘RGB-everything’ trend of 2016 and 2017.

Cougar Panzer Max

The Cougar Panzer Max is a full-tower representation of the Panzer chassis. It is larger, bulkier, has more space, and looks a lot more menacing to boot. It really does resemble a tank, which is what "Panzer'' means in German. So in this review, we take the Panzer Max for a joy ride, fill it with some ammunition, and see if it is a straight shooter.

Mass Effect Andromeda Performance Analysis

After a near five year break from the franchise, Mass Effect returns this week with an all new entry to the series. Mass Effect Andromeda leaves earth and Sheppard behind in an effort to expand the universe with new characters, a new story as well as all new planets and enemies. Aside from that, this game has also seen Mass Effect move over to the Frostbite engine, which works incredibly well in the Battlefield series, but how does it hold up in a huge RPG like this? Today, we will be taking a look at just that, alongside 1080p, 1440p and 4K benchmarks on PC.

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Riing RGB 360 Edition Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Thermaltake decided to jump on the RGB wagon by taking their very successful Water 3.0 Ultimate AIO liquid CPU cooler and replacing its regular high-speed fans with their ultra-low noise Riing RGB ones. The result may not produce the exact same cooling efficiency numbers but it looks great and is almost whisper quiet even at load.
