Adrenalin 2019 Driver Performance Analysis featuring the RX Vega 56 & RX 590

As a regular feature of BabelTechReviews, this driver performance analysis will chart the performance of 38 PC games using the latest Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 18.12.2 which was released last week. We will compare these new drivers with the 18.8.40 launch drivers for the RX 590 and also with September’s drivers used for the RX Vega 56, and we will also compare them with 18.12.1 that released last month.

The Adrenalin 2019 Edition is AMD’s special annual update which introduces important new features that we will briefly cover although our emphasis is on driver performance changes. BTR driver performance analyses track the progress of every major driver release from NVIDIA and from AMD with every game in our 38-game benchmark suite including Just Cause 4 and Battlefield V. We also compare the Red Devils RX Vega 56’s and RX 590’s rivals, the RTX 2070 FE’s and the EVGA GTX 1060 SC’s performance.

Cooler Master CK550 Mechanical Keyboard Review

There are way too many mechanical keyboard manufacturers with way too many switch options to suit your needs, budget, requirement, etc. Just when you thought the choices are obvious, you get analog keyboards like Wooting One, Wooting Two and even a project Cooler Master had raised funds for since it feels its requirements is a micro-niche. Eventually, a niche product seeps into the mainstream- like how mechanical switches did. Sometimes, THE best keyboard might just be get lost somewhere, even if it is from a mainstream manufacturer. Everybody makes so many peripherals simply because they are able to sell it out. Headset market is equally ridiculous. Might as well wear those RGB headsets and use it to signal left or right turns when riding a bicycle!

MSI MEG Z390 ACE Motherboard Review

During Computex 2018 we were exposed to a new product line from MSI called MEG or the MSI Enthusiast Gaming with their flagship motherboard called the X399 Creation. The motherboard had a great overall design that would lay the groundwork for a unified product line with similar graphic treatments, features and performance.

In this review I’ll be showing you the MSI MEG Z390 ACE. This board shares many of the design cues found on the X399 Creation but is built on the Intel Z390 chipset for LGA 115x 8000 and 9000 series processors. Position wise, it is one step down from the MEG Z390 Godlike and really designed to do more than just game. Of course the reason for the Intel 300 series is to support the new Core i9 9900K Coffee Lake processor but, is fully backwards compatible with existing Coffee Lake processors giving you the same features with the option for more performance in multi threaded applications.

MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC Review

After taking some time to delve into what MSI has to offer with the MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC, I found that to get the most out of the latest Intel 10-core beast you do not need to step up to the king of the hill $500 board. Now what you may give up other than $300 or more are features that you may or may not use. For most users, the price point of the MSI MPG Gaming Edge AC is a great compromise between performance and all-out feature set. Performance-wise, this board from MSI did well by comparison to another Z390-based board and a Z370 board. The metrics, for the most part, were close in just about every test. That's a given at this point. So what separates the boards are feature set and what the intended use case
will be.
