Athlon Overclockers has posted a review on the Aopen AK72 maotherboard. Here a snip:
The specs are pretty standard with 5 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 AMR and 3 DIMMs. The layout is pretty basic without any surprises the AMR slot is right below the ISA slot. The positioning of the dreaded AMR slot varies quite a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer. Everybody seems to be adopting this as a standard. Do the power users not have a voice anymore? Are there so few of us that only Abit is listening to us? IF we HAVE to have an AMR slot than why can't they at least put the slot in a better place? Between the PCI and ISA slots is 1 good place for it so you can use your 5th PCI and your ISA at the same time. My personal favorite place would be above the AGP slot slot so I can slide a slot cooler right in under my CPU to suck that hot air away from my CPU and right out the back of the case.Read more
