Its pretty safe to say that a reader of this review could never be satisfied with a plain beige case, sitting on their desk as a festering eyesore. When buying a new computer case, three factors influence your decision as a user: Price, performance, and the ever intangible looks. Think of these three factors on a scale: As performance and beauty rise, the price does as well. Herein lies the problem: If you want a case that rates high in performance and looks smooth and refined, its going to cost you over a hundred dollars. Since many of us prefer to spend our extra cash on a better video card rather than a prettier case, the category of budget cases was born. Like an imitation Armani, a budget case always gives itself away, either in quality of the cooling performance, sturdiness of the construction, or (in the worst case) an exterior flaw that gives it away as cheap.
